Who says summer has to end when school starts? At La Amistad Behavioral Health Services, our patients enjoy year-round education while still making time for fun and memorable experiences that support healing.

Today, we embraced the tropical vibes with smiles, laughter and a little taste of summer before the back-to-school season begins. Moments like these help to build confidence, strengthen relationships and remind our patients that recovery includes joy along the way.

Our team recently had the opportunity to tour Florida Springs Wellness and Recovery Center and learn more about the incredible work they’re doing to support individuals seeking recovery.

From detox services to residential treatment and sober living, it was valuable to gain a deeper understanding of their continuum of care and the resources available along the Emerald Coast.

At La Amistad Behavioral Health Services, we’re proud to provide a full continuum of mental health treatment, including Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for adolescents and adults. By building strong relationships with community partners, we can help ensure patients experience a seamless transition between levels of care as they continue their healing journey.

Thank you to the Florida Springs Wellness and Recovery Center team for the warm welcome and for sharing your passion for helping people build lasting recovery!

Building relationships outside the office is just as important as the work we do inside it. ⛳️

Our team was pleased to be invited to this behavioral health networking event hosted by Tampa Bay Recovery Center, Banyan Treatment Centers, Center for Discovery and WhiteSands Treatment Center.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow behavioral health professionals, discuss the latest trends we’re seeing across our communities and strengthen relationships in a more relaxed setting. We enjoyed great conversations, delicious food, and yes…a few golf swings that were better left unseen. 🫠

Events like these remind us that collaboration means building strong relationships and being better equipped to serve the individuals and families who trust us with their care.

Thank you to the hosts for bringing everyone together. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

La Amistad was proud to attend this month’s Women in Treatment (WITT) meeting in Tampa, where behavioral healthcare professionals from across the region came together to connect, learn and support one another.

Our Tampa representative, Ale explained, "One of the best parts of WITT is the opportunity to bring together women at every stage of their careers, from those with decades of experience to those just beginning their journey in behavioral health." The willingness to share knowledge, exchange resources and collaborate for the benefit of the individuals and families we serve is what makes this group so impactful.

We are grateful to everyone who continues to invest in collaboration over competition. Together, we’re building stronger connections and creating better outcomes for the communities we serve!

Mental health doesn’t look the same for everyone and neither should the care we provide.

This Minority Mental Health Month, we’re reminded how important it is to continue breaking down barriers to care and making sure every individual feels seen, heard and supported.

At La Amistad Behavioral Health Services, we’re proud to care for people from all backgrounds and walks of life. Healing starts with understanding each person’s unique story, and we’re committed to creating a place where everyone feels safe to begin their journey.

The conversation doesn’t end in July. Together, we can help reduce stigma, encourage understanding and remind those who are struggling that asking for help is one of the strongest steps they can take.

If you or someone you love could benefit from mental health treatment, our team is here to help.

🎨 At La Amistad, healing comes in many forms. Each week, our residential patients participate in art therapy, creating meaningful pieces that encourage self-expression, build confidence and provide a healthy outlet for processing emotions.

Art therapy is more than creating something beautiful, it’s about expressing what words sometimes can’t and celebrating each individual’s unique journey toward healing.

We’re proud to provide creative opportunities that support recovery while showcasing the incredible talent and resilience of our patients.

If you or someone you love could benefit from the structure and support of residential mental health treatment, we’re here to help! Our admissions team is available to answer your questions, verify insurance and help determine the right level of care.

Some partnerships are built long before you ever meet in person!

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming members of the University Behavioral Center team to La Amistad Behavioral Health Services for a campus tour and the opportunity to finally meet many of our intake clinicians face-to-face.

For years, these teams have worked side by side, often connected only by a phone call to help patients transition to the next step in their recovery journey. Seeing those familiar voices finally become familiar faces was a special reminder of the relationships that make this work so meaningful.

Thank you to our UBC partners for spending the day with us. We enjoyed showcasing our programs, sharing what makes our campuses unique and strengthening a partnership that continues to make a difference for the patients we serve.

We look forward to continuing to work together to ensure every patient receives the right care at the right time.

Celebrating the little moments that make a big difference. ❤️🤍💙

Our residential patients and team of had a wonderful time celebrating the Fourth of July together last week. From festive crafts to plenty of smiles, it was a great reminder that healing isn’t only found in therapy sessions, it’s also found in sharing experiences, laughing together and taking time to celebrate the milestones along the way.

We’re grateful for the staff who make these experiences possible and for the opportunity to create an environment where our patients can continue healing while feeling supported every step of the way.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July!
