Let's talk soups to help support the lungs:
warm broths and stews are excellent for the lungs, digestive health and nutrition. Add mineral rich veggies, spices (oregano aids in getting rid of mucous), veggies like onions, garlic and scallions help open the pores to sweat and get rid of mucous in nose, throat & chest. Small amount of ginger aids in digestions and blood circulation. Using bone broth will turn everything more nutrient dense.

In continuation of my previous post, here are foods to avoid:
bananas
peanuts
peanut butter
sugar
high glycemic foods
dairy
too many raw foods like: salads, smoothies, juice
*if you are going to have a salad, smoothie or juice follow it up with hot tea or add tiny amount of ginger, or garlic to help with digestion.

Here's an itemized list of foods that benefit the lungs from my "8 Ways to Support Your Lungs" talk:

Fruits:
apricots
pears
apples

Veggies:
onions
garlic
turnips
potatoes
cauliflower
diakon radish
radish
rutabaga

Legumes/Nuts:
all beans
almonds
walnuts

Grains:
oats
rice

Meat:
poultry
white fish

**any food that is white on the outside or inside benefit the lungs and therefore help support them

Tip 6 to help support your lungs is these supplements: Vitamin C, preferably from a whole food source, like acerola powder;
Zinc;
Selenium;
Iron;
Copper;
Folate, that is methylated;
Vitamin A, oil 10,000IU, not beta-carotene;
Vitamin E;
Vitamin D;
Vitamin B6;
L-Lysine, an amino acid which is good for immune & skin conditions;
Mushrooms: Reishi & Cordyceps;
Red Clover flowers: tea steeped for 30 minutes for swollen glands;
***Beta-Glucans for Upper Respiratory Infections caused by viruses, even for covid 19.

Tip 7 is to increase your water and electrolytes. Avoid: alcohol, smoking and stress. Find ways to minimize and deal with stress effectively, rest and try to get the best nights of sleep that you can. Extra points for meditation, yoga and exercise.

Numbers 4 & 5 from my "8 Ways to Support Lung Health" live stream are:

4) Irrigate your nose. You can use a neti pot, or nasal spritz with saline. This will help keep your nose clean from dirt, pollen and microbes.

5) Take baths. Baths are excellent ways to help support your lungs and muscles. Add at least 1 cup of epsom salts. You can also add essential oils. Eucalyptus, On Guard are good options. You can also diffuse essential oils. Just do not ingest them.

I'll be posting the information I gave during my Facebook Live talk "8 Ways to Support Lung Health" this week. Here are numbers 1-3:

1. Stay Warm during chilly, dewy, breezy moments outside or inside. Layer up to protect your Defensive energy. Be especially careful of covering up your neck.
2. Rub your palms together 30 times and place on face on either side of your nose. Palm rub 30 times and place hands on skin over kidneys. Palm rub 30 times and place hands over the bottom of each foot.
3. Gargle with warm salt water. Use 1/2 teaspoon of salt per 8 oz of water.
