Forestdale Park, located at the site of Malden's former McFadden Manor, recently opened its doors as the newest Volunteers of America Massachusetts Senior Residence. The community features 3 Independent Living apartments, and 59 studio and one bedroom Assisted Living apartments that features our EnrichedLIFE programming. Forestdale Park also accommodates 23 seniors in their state-of-the-art Compas

s Memory Support Neighborhood which specializes in holistically treating the symptoms of cognitive issues including Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Forestdale Park is a Volunteers of America Massachusetts Senior Community joining sister communities Nashoba Park in Ayer and Concord Park in West Concord. The community is professionally managed by Senior Living Residences of Braintree, a trusted name in senior housing and care with families and eldercare professionals for over 25 years.

Forestdale Park was honored to celebrate a very special milestone for Mary George- her 80th birthday and Lifetime Achievement Award!

Surrounded by her close family and friends, we celebrated a remarkable life filled with courage, creativity, curiosity, and love. From her adventurous spirit and professional accomplishments to her devotion to her family, Mary has created a beautiful legacy that continues to inspire everyone around her.

We are so grateful to have Mary as part of our Forestdale Park family and were thrilled to celebrate this incredible woman and all that she has accomplished ❤️

Last week’s Discovery Learning was all about sunflowers, and we had such a great time! Throughout the week, we created beautiful sunflower arrangements, had a sunflower seed tasting, and showed off our creativity by painting gorgeous sunflower pictures! Last week’s Reconnections program was all about the Tastes of the Season, so we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate summer than a trip to Soc’s Ice Cream!

Our Compass residents enjoyed a classic summer picnic filled with good food, great company, and lots of laugh. It was the perfect way to enjoy the warm weather, make memories, and savor some of the sweet tastes of summer! ❤️☀️

Today marks 10 years since the official beginning of Forestdale Park Senior Living!

A decade ago, construction began on what would become so much more than a building—it became a community, a home, and a place where meaningful connections are made every day.

Over the past 10 years, we have been honored to welcome incredible residents, supportive families, dedicated team members, volunteers, friends, and neighbors through our doors. Each person has helped shape the warm, compassionate community that Forestdale Park is today.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. We are so proud of all we’ve accomplished together and can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will bring. Here’s to many more years of creating memories, building relationships, and making Forestdale Park feel like home.

As part of our “250 Years of America Through the Decades” celebration, we took a trip back to the fabulous 1950s and transformed Forestdale into a classic soda shop! 🥤🍦

Residents enjoyed a variety of refreshing sodas, with the option to top them off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the perfect old-fashioned float. We also sampled some iconic 1950s favorites, including Twinkies, popcorn, Cheese Doodles, pretzels, Twizzlers, peanuts, and Tootsie Rolls.
