Reminder: We are still under a Burn Ban. PLEASE DO NOT Burn anything! We are at High Risk for Wildfire. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those fighting this fire and those evacuating from its path.

The Pine Tree Road Fire in Union County is currently estimated at approximately 2,000 acres as crews continue working to contain the fire, which has been burning since last night.

Ten bulldozers are currently working the fire, and we are preparing replacement crews from other parts of the state. A detection flight over Southeast Arkansas is planned this morning. Air tankers are scheduled to begin aerial operations immediately.

Approximately 150 people have been evacuated to nearby shelters in Lawson and El Dorado. Entergy has also de-energized power lines in the area as crews work to improve containment. We will provide an updated containment estimate as soon as it is available.

🚨 BURN BAN EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY 🚨Due to dry conditions and high fire risks, a burn ban is in effect for Hot Spring County. No outdoor burning of any kind is allowed until further notice to keep our community safe from wildfires. Thank you for the cooperation

This morning a couple of our firefighters attended the Magnet Cove Back to School Bash. 🚒☀️🎒📚✏️
The kids enjoyed the truck and cooling off in the water. We hope everyone is enjoying summer break and ready for the new school year!

Stay hydrated. Be aware of signs of heat related illness like heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Keep yourself and loved ones safe! We'll be sharing heat safety tips in the next couple of days.

Air temperatures in the mid to upper 90s with heat index values 105 degrees and above expected all week. Heat Advisories are out for some through at least Thursday, July 2.

This Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification is through the American Red Cross

25$ per person (Cash App, Apple Pay)

The Certification course includes an online learning portion followed by an in-person skills check-off session to complete your certification. The online learning portion will need to be completed before the in-person skills session.

Class date, time, and location for the in-person skills check-off will be provided upon registration. If you are unable to attend the scheduled in-person skills check-off session, accommodations may be available. Please contact us in advance to discuss alternative arrangements.
