A pill that costs 25¢ to manufacture costs cancer patients $18,000 a month. Yet insurance companies give me a hard time over a $34 adjustment.

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I set out to understand why a single pill of Revlimid cost the same as a new iPhone. I’ve covered high drug prices as a reporter for years. What I discovered shocked even me.

The office will be closed Monday 7/27. I had some chest pain so went to the hospital to get checked. Luckily I DID NOT have any new heart issues, everything is fine but they're keeping me overnight for observation and who knows what time I'll get out on Monday. My apologies for any inconvenience. I'll contact you about rescheduling if you had an appointment Monday.
