Blossom Pediatric Therapy is looking for a Per Diem Pediatric Occupational Therapist with the opportunity to grow into a part-time or full-time caseload as our practice continues to expand!

We’re looking for someone who:
🌼 Has at least 1 year of pediatric OT experience
🌼 Licensed NJ Occupational Therapist
🌼 Is knowledgeable in primitive reflex integration, sensory processing, & emotional regulation treatment
🌼 Provides creative, play-based, child-led interventions
🌼 Is confident educating and collaborating with families
🌼 Is organized, reliable, and completes documentation in a timely manner
🌼 Thrives in a collaborative team environment while also working independently
🌼 Brings a positive attitude and a genuine love for helping children reach their fullest potential

After always seeing our friend, rave about the we finally got one! We are loving this new addition to playtime at almost 5 months old.

From an occupational therapy lens, supported seating can be a helpful short-term play tool once babies are showing good head and emerging trunk control. In small, supervised doses, the Upseat can support:

-Upright posture with active trunk engagement
-Early core strength and postural endurance
-Hands-free play for reaching, grasping, and bilateral coordination
-Midline exploration and improved visual tracking
-A new visual perspective of their environment, which can boost curiosity and engagement

That said, floor time still remains the foundation at this age. Free movement (tummy time, rolling, pivoting, and unrestricted play) is essential for overall motor development. It is important to use the Upseat as a brief, supportive addition to your day - not a replacement for movement!

Keeping it simple over here! A crinkle book & an O-Ring Ball

Using feet during play helps strengthen legs and core, improves coordination, builds body awareness, supports midline development, and teaches cause & effect “I kick it, it makes noise”

Foot play is especially great in the early months as babies discover their bodies and prepare for rolling, crawling, and future movement skills

Two years of Blossom!!

What started as a dream has truly come to life in the most beautiful way. In just two short years, we’ve opened our very first office space at The Therapy Hub and grown our team to three incredible, dedicated employees. Watching this growth has been nothing short of amazing.

But what means the most is the community we’ve built along the way. We’ve had the honor of supporting so many wonderful children and families, celebrating big milestones, working through challenges, and sharing so many meaningful moments together.

To every family who has trusted us with their children, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support, trust, and commitment are the reason Blossom continues to grow.

Blossom was built on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we feel so lucky to be part of each child’s journey.

Bilateral coordination means using both sides of the body together in a coordinated way.

Children use bilateral coordination for:

✂️ Cutting with scissors
⚽ Catching a ball
🧩 Stabilizing paper while writing
👖 Pulling up pants
🧱 Building with blocks

If bilateral coordination is difficult, kids may appear clumsy or avoid certain tasks.

Occupational therapy helps strengthen body coordination, timing, and motor planning through fun play-based activities.
