🚨 Podiatry Surprise of the Day (Memorial Day Weekend): β€œIt’s just a little poke…” 🚨

When this patient came in complaining of foot pain, they never expected a crochet needle to be the culprit!

We found this small entry point on the bottom of the foot and used a sterile probe to confirm and explore the tract. Sure enough β€” a sharp foreign body had made its way deep into the tissue.

Crochet needles, sewing pins, and tiny objects love to hide in feet… especially if you walk barefoot around the house or craft area! 😱

Moral of the story: Never ignore a small puncture or β€œsplinter-like” pain on the bottom of your foot.
What seems minor can quickly turn into an abscess or deep infection.
