A fee simple food safety habits can help reduce your family’s risk of Cyclospora. 🫧🥬

Wash hands before preparing or eating food, rinse fresh produce thoroughly under running water, and use safe drinking water, especially while traveling. While washing produce can lower the risk, it may not remove Cyclospora completely.

How hot is too hot for your baby?

Once the temperature gets over 80°, our bodies (and especially babies) have a harder time cooling off.

The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests parents avoid taking babies outside for long periods of time if the heat index is greater than 90 degrees Fahrenheit and avoid the heat as much as possible on hot days like today. Babies cannot sweat, so they can often suffer heat stroke much quicker than an older child or adult. Plus, babies can get dehydrated faster, too and develop heat rashes.

‼️Be sure to pay attention to Heat Advisories. If your area is under any kind of heat warning, it’s best to keep your baby in a cool, air-conditioned location for the bulk of the day.
