**Yoga for Strength: Build Your Foundation with Sandy Hall**

Have you ever wondered why a familiar yoga posture feels entirely different when you make one small adjustment?

Strength isn't simply about pushing harder or moving through more challenging sequences. It's also about understanding where support comes from and how we create it.

This Saturday, Sandy Hall will lead the first workshop in our Yoga for Strength series.

We'll take time to explore the mechanics behind familiar movements, particularly how the shoulders, core, and larger support systems of the body work together.

This is an opportunity to slow down, ask questions, and develop a better understanding of your own movement.

You don't need to be the strongest person in the room or have an advanced practice. The intention is to leave with something useful that you can bring into your regular yoga practice.

**Saturday, October 24 | 2:00–3:30 PM**

Strength in yoga isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about understanding where support comes from — and learning how to create it.

On Saturday, October 24, join Sandy Hall for Yoga for Strength: Build Your Foundation, the first workshop in our Yoga for Strength series.

A 90-minute workshop gives us something we don't always have during a regular yoga class: time.

Time to slow things down.
Time to explore strength and stability.
Time to understand the mechanics behind familiar movements.

And time to ask questions.

You don't need an advanced practice or extraordinary strength. Come ready to explore and leave with information you can bring back into your regular practice.

What if, for 90 minutes, there was nowhere else you needed to be?

No effort.
No striving.
Nothing to accomplish.

Join Vanessa Van Noy for Hypno-Restorative — 90 minutes combining restorative yoga, breathwork, visualization and hypnotic relaxation.

Using wireless headphones, Vanessa’s guidance becomes personal and immersive while your body is supported in restorative postures.

You don’t need to know how to meditate.
You don’t need to be “good” at relaxing.
And you don’t need to bring anything with you.

We’ll have the bolsters, blankets, blocks and everything you need waiting for you.

Our September storm changed the date, but not the experience. There is still space to join us.

Your hips may not need more flexibility. They may just need more options.
We hear “tight hips” all the time in yoga — and usually the answer is to stretch more.
But sometimes creating more ease means exploring strength, range of motion and different ways of moving.
On Sunday, October 18 at 2 PM, join senior Inlet teacher Allison Kane for Refresh Your Hips, a 90-minute experiential workshop incorporating gentle stretching, self-myofascial release and mindful strength drills.
This isn't about how deep you can get into a pose. It's an opportunity to slow down, explore your own movement and perhaps discover a few more options.
No yoga experience necessary. You don't need to be flexible. Just bring the body you have.

Inlet Yoga is officially going to Greece. 🇬🇷

Six people from our community have already committed to joining us, which means our June 2027 retreat on the island of Amorgos is confirmed.

We'll spend seven nights at the five-star Aegialis Hotel & Spa, with yoga woven into an experience that also leaves plenty of room for Greece itself—the Aegean Sea, village life, ancient paths, wonderful food, excursions, a Greek cooking experience, massage and time to simply slow down.

This isn't about filling every hour with yoga.

It's about practicing together and then going out and experiencing where we are.

June 19–26, 2027 | Amorgos, Greece

Six are already coming. There is room for more.

It’s here. 🤍

Grounded in Honesty: The Business, Ethics, and Future of Yoga Teaching is officially published.

https://a.co/d/07V7wGwi

This book grew out of nearly two decades of teaching, learning, leading teacher trainings, owning a yoga studio—and having a lot of conversations about the parts of teaching yoga we don’t always talk about openly.

Money. Marketing. Credentials. Responsibility. Building something sustainable. And perhaps most importantly, what it actually means to be of service to the students in front of us.

Jack Brandt and I wrote this book because I believe we can hold both things at once:

We can honor the practice we love and talk honestly about the realities of making a life teaching it.

We can serve our students without disappearing from our own lives and practices.

And we can keep asking better questions about where yoga teaching goes from here.

Today, after a lot of writing, editing, questioning and rewriting, I finally get to say:

Grounded in Honesty is available now on Amazon.

And that feels pretty incredible.

To the teachers, students, mentors, friends and Inlet Yoga community who have shaped these conversations over the years—thank you.

There is a lot of you in these pages. 🤍
