🎨 Creativity is always in season.

Who says fireworks are only for the Fourth of July? Our little artists had a blast creating colorful “fireworks” while practicing fine motor skills, following directions, making choices, and expressing their creativity.

🕷️ What Did You Do Over the Weekend?

We hung out with Spider-Man! ❤️🕸️

Well… our version of Spider-Man! 🚲🕷️

One of our amazing friends spent time cruising the neighborhood in full superhero style—Spider-Man outfit, Spider-Man shoes, Spider-Man helmet, and of course, a Spider-Man bike!

While it looked like fun (and it absolutely was!), moments like these are also filled with opportunities to build important skills:
🕸️ Practicing bike safety
🚲 Building coordination and balance
💬 Encouraging communication
⭐ Increasing independence and confidence
🌎 Learning in the natural environment

From the Hive to Duke! 💙

This summer, we had the privilege of welcoming Ashley to Family Beeginnings as a student intern from Oakton High School. Throughout her time with us, she brought kindness, compassion, curiosity, and a playful spirit to every interaction with our clients and team.

Watching Ashley connect with children and embrace every opportunity to learn made it clear that she has an incredibly bright future ahead.

As she begins this exciting new chapter at Duke University this fall, we want to congratulate her and thank her for making such a positive impact on our Hive. We have no doubt she’ll continue to do amazing things, and we’ll be cheering her on every step of the way.

This achievement reflects their hard work, clinical excellence, and unwavering commitment to the children and families we serve. Taylor and Zitlalie consistently lead by example, providing compassionate care, supporting their teammates, and helping create a positive learning environment for everyone around them.

🛒 Learning Happens Everywhere! 🐝

Therapy doesn’t stop when we leave the clinic and neither do we!

At Family Beeginnings, our BCBAs bring therapy into the community, meeting families where meaningful learning happens. Whether it’s navigating the grocery store, visiting the park, ordering at a restaurant, or even taking a trip to Walmart, we’re there to provide hands-on parent training and real-time support.

Community outings give children the opportunity to practice important life skills in natural environments, including:
🛒 Following directions
💬 Functional communication
🤝 Social interactions
⏳ Waiting and flexibility
🧩 Problem-solving
🌟 Building independence and confidence

By coaching caregivers during these everyday experiences, our BCBAs help families learn practical strategies they can continue using long after the outing ends. Real-life practice creates real-life success.

From BT to RBT~~~ 🐝Clinical Assistant ~~~🐝BCaBA ~~~🐝BCBA to now Assistant Clinical Director🐝

This year, we’re celebrating Victoria’s 6th anniversary with Family Beeginnings !

Victoria’s story is one of dedication, continuous learning, and servant leadership. She began her career with us as a Behavior Technician, earned her RBT certification, stepped into a Clinical Assistant role while pursuing her education, became a BCaBA then BCBA, and now leads one of our growing clinical teams.

When asked what made the biggest difference in her journey, her answer was simple:

💛 “I never felt like I was thrown into a role. I was prepared for every step through mentorship and support.”

That commitment to investing in people is part of what makes Family Beeginnings so special. Victoria reflects often on late-night study sessions with mentors who volunteered their own time to help her succeed. Today, she pays that same investment forward by mentoring new technicians and future clinicians.

Her leadership philosophy centers on three things:
✨ Intentional mentorship
✨ A culture of continuous feedback
✨ Compassionate, assent-based ABA that meets every child where they are

Perhaps the most meaningful lesson she’s learned over the last six years?

“Family Beeginnings taught me patience—not just as a clinician, but as a person. Learning to meet children where they are has changed the way I approach both my professional and personal life.”
