Today we have a list of nutrients used by the thyroid in the center column below, with some of their functions to the left of the column and foods where these nutrients can naturally be found to the right. By getting a variety of the foods listed, while avoiding other potentially disruptive foods, the thyroid can be put in the best possible position to carry out its intended processes.
Don't forget though! Not all foods are grown equally. In order to ensure the highest nutrient content, make sure you are buying organically from reputable sources.
*Avoid large amounts of cruciferous vegetables like spinach when dealing with thyroid dysfunction.
