✨ YTT Student Spotlight! ✨
Hi, I’m Randi 😊 2026 YTT soon to be graduate. Yoga first captured my interest in middle school where I picked up a Hatha Yoga book from the library. I would do shoulder stands in the living room, it was fun, I loved the idea, the seed was planted, but it didn’t stick.
As life went on and I accumulated more stress and let’s be real-trauma, I would often reach for Yoga to regulate my nervous system and optimize my mental health. In 2022, after 30 years of dabbling, I joined a studio and began a regular practice. The sense of community changed everything for me.
Yoga is so much more than exercise to me. It’s my therapy, it’s energy (emotions) in motion, it’s a release, it’s stopping the chatter of the mind. Yoga lovingly and gently guides the mind and breath back to rejoin the body. That is why I practice as often as I can. So I can get out of my head (over-thinker here!) and back into my body where life is happening!
For my day job, I am a Psych nurse. I love and study all things psychology. The scientific evidence on the mental health benefits of Yoga is well studied and documented.
Joining YTT has been a life changing experience. Sushma and Amy, and all of the YTT instructors are so good. They created such a beautiful welcoming atmosphere of safety, connection and fun all with reverence for this ancient, sacred practice. I have so much love for yoga and this amazing community.
If you’re on the fence and thinking of joining YTT, just do it!✨
