June is Men's Mental Health Month, a reminder that opening up and talking about mental health, addiction, or personal struggles doesn't always come naturally.
Whether it's pride, fear of judgment, or years of feeling like they need to handle everything on their own, many men arrive hesitant to share.
But as John, one of our group facilitators, explains in this video, that often changes over time. The same men who are reluctant to participate at first often become some of the biggest advocates for the process, encouraging others and experiencing the power of connection for themselves.
Breaking the stigma around men's mental health starts with creating spaces where people feel safe to be honest, supported, and understood.
That's one of the reasons we're excited about Live Free Behavioral Health and the expanded mental health services it will bring to individuals and families across New Hampshire.
