Urgent: A CCGC family needs our help.

Right now, we're raising funds to provide a bunk bed for one of the families we serve so every child in the house has their own safe, comfortable place to sleep. Through our partnership with CT Beds , a relatively small amount of funding can provide brand-new, safe, comfortable beds that will make an immediate and lasting difference for this family.

A good night's rest can make all the difference. Please consider supporting our Family Support Fund today, and read more below.

Throughout the year, CCGC's Family Support Fund helps us meet the basic needs of children and families when unexpected challenges arise. Whether it's providing essential items, connecting families with community resources, or stepping in during times of crisis, the fund allows us to respond quickly when help is needed most. This is the same fund that also powers our holiday toy and winter needs drive, and it's only possible because of the generosity of supporters like you.

If we exceed our goal and we are able to provide a bed for this family, every additional dollar raised afterwards will directly help support other children and families as we head into the new school year by providing school supplies, stocking our Community Closet with hygiene essentials, and responding to other urgent needs as they arise. These may seem like simple items, but they have a profound impact. A child who has a safe place to sleep is better able to rest, regulate emotions, and benefit from mental health services. A child with the supplies and hygiene products they need can arrive at school with confidence, ready to learn and succeed.

If you're able, please consider making a gift to CCGC's Family Support Fund today. Your generosity helps ensure that when a family reaches out for support, we're able to say "yes." Because every child deserves the chance to learn, heal, grow, and thrive. Thank you for helping make that possible.

Congratulations to Grace, the winner of this year's CCGC Kid-Designed T-Shirt Contest! 🎉

We are so excited to share Grace's incredible "Accept All" design, along with the thoughtful story behind it.

When Grace created her artwork, she wanted to make something that was "easy for people to look at" while also sharing an important message. Inspired by her own experiences, she reflected on how getting to know new people changed her perspective. As Grace shared, "Don't assume you know what other people are like until you get to know them." ❤️

Her design is a beautiful reminder that kindness, inclusion, and understanding help build stronger communities.

Thank you, Grace, for sharing your creativity, your voice, and your message with all of us. We also want to thank Grace's clinician, Christine Tomlin, for encouraging her to enter the contest and supporting her along the way.

You can support CCGC and wear Grace's winning design with pride! Every purchase helps us continue providing life-changing mental health and educational services for children and families in our community.

CCGC will be closed for our annual summer break from Monday, June 29th, through Friday, July 3rd, 2026. We encourage all CCGC families and community partners to reach out as soon as possible with any questions or to make any needed arrangements before the break.

If an urgent matter arises while we’re away, please call our main number at 860-643-2101. We’ll be monitoring it for time-sensitive concerns. All other messages will be returned once we’re back in the office on Monday, July 6.

This time off is one of the ways we support our amazing staff, giving them a chance to rest, recharge, and soak up a little bit more of the summer. We know that when our team feels refreshed, they’re able to give their very best to the children and families we serve every day!

Happy summer, and hope to see you soon!☀️🌈

Happy Father’s Day to every kind of dad and father figure! 💙

Today, we celebrate dads, stepdads, grandfathers, uncles, foster dads, adoptive dads, mentors, coaches, bonus dads, and all the men who show up with love, guidance, patience, and support in a child’s life.

Being a dad or father figure makes a difference every day: in the big moments, the small routines, the words of encouragement, and by being a reliable, stable source of support. These qualities and many more make such a big difference throughout our lives.

We also want to recognize the importance of men’s mental health. Strong dads need support, too. Healthy coping skills, meaningful friendships, family support, rest, therapy, community, and simply having someone to talk to can make a powerful difference. When men take care of their mental health, they are modeling resilience, courage, and emotional strength for the kids who look up to them.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate the love, leadership, laughter, and care that dads and father figures bring into the world. You matter, your well-being matters, and the impact you have is truly worth celebrating.

Happy Father’s Day!

We hope everyone has had a great Juneteenth this year, with all of this great weather this weekend and special celebrations everywhere you look in our communities!

At CCGC, we celebrated a little early by treating our staff to a delicious lunch from Southern Bell Soul Food & Catering Truck 8608813114. We are always grateful for opportunities to celebrate and support small businesses in our community.

A big thank-you to the crew at Southern Bell for making our celebration so special. Everyone was smiling, and no one left hungry!
