Manchester Family Vision Center PC

Manchester Family Vision Center PC At Manchester Family Vision Center, Dr. Daniel Mersch provides medical and routine vision examinations for adults and children.

Our eye doctor specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the eye and provides well vision exams. Treatments may include prescription of medicine, glasses, or contact lenses. Regular eye examinations are an important part of your preventive health care. Children should have their first eye exam at 6 months of age, again at age 3 and every year into adulthood. The simple vision scree

ning provided by your pediatrician may not detect all eye issues, and early detection is vital. Eye disease and vision issues are far more easily corrected prior to age 9, the age at which the brain has developed completely. Rubbing your eyes, squinting, headaches, changes in vision or difficulty with focusing within arm’s length are indicators to visit your optometrist. For those who wear contact lenses our optometrists recommend annual exams. Vision exams are recommended every two years for adults until age 60 unless you have health issues which require more frequent visits. After age 60, annual exams are generally recommended. At Manchester Family Vision Center we carry a large selection of eyeglass frames from designer to budget. We are certain that we can help you pick out the best choice for you whether your glasses are a necessity or an accessory. Eyeglasses have become a fashion statement! Our opticians are trained to recommend the best lens solution for your specific needs. Regular eye exams can help detect age-related conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration early, allowing for effective treatment options.

Don’t forget, summer’s extra UV exposure adds to the risk, so taking care of those eyes is essential. 🌞

Do you take your contact lenses out before flying on an airplane?

The conditions inside an airplane can make contact lenses dry and uncomfortable, particularly on flights longer than 3 hours. Eye drops approved for use with contacts can help, but it may be better to remove your contacts before flying instead.

We can help you make the right choice for your eye health. Schedule an appointment with us to learn more.
