Shadow work isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you.
It’s about remembering you were never broken.
You are not here to transcend parts of yourself.
You are here to reclaim them.
The parts you learned to hide, soften, or silence?
They aren’t flaws.
They’re unmet energy.
Life force that learned to contract to stay safe.
And they carry medicine.
What we call “dark” is often simply energy that did not receive safety, mirroring, or permission to belong.
Both your tenderness and your sharpness.
Your devotion and your resistance.
Your longing and your rage.
When awareness is brought to what was once rejected,
the nervous system softens.
The body exhales.
This is how integration occurs.
This is how alchemy happens at the cellular level.
The shadow is not weakness.
It is unmet life force waiting to be re-circulated.
Within it live instincts, boundaries, creativity, truth—
qualities that were never wrong, only unwelcomed.
To meet your shadow is not to descend into darkness,
but to return to wholeness.
And wholeness, once remembered, is deeply liberating.
If this stirred something in you, stay close.
More to come on shadow, embodiment, and returning to yourself.
