I’ve chatted with too many owners this summer who are struggling.

Here’s one from this week.
“I will try anything at this point lol I’ve battled ulcers the last 5 years with him. It always seems to help them for a little while and then its back to being bad again…..
I’m finding the vets all don’t really know what to do they just say try this for a month and see what happens and it’s a never ending cycle.”

Another horse owner used the exact same words in March of 2024, she said “it’s like it’s never ending”

My dining room has lovely decor. It includes saddle rack, saddles, cinches, saddle pads and clothes drying rack. This was the first year I was forced to bring it all inside. 😅 Tell me I’m not the only one who does this? Show me your in house tack photos.

Yesterday’s Horsey day consisted of Geriatric comfort for Sonny Boy. He had a lot of tension that visibly released from his head and jaw, a direct correlation to his hind end, which was the tightest area of his body. I muscle taped this for support because the tape continues to work on the body long after I’ve left the barn. This is where he began yawning and stretching at the front end.
For Artie, her session consisted of lunge line movement for evaluation and posture purposes, with focused bodywork on her shoulders and scapula facially. I muscle taped these areas at the end of our session and then her owner and I did a scoot boot evaluation for fit.

Then, as I was driving home, I was sent a video of another horse that needed immediate muscle taping for support. So, that one got taped last night and is on my Pain Gone herbal blend and I already had a short session again with her this morning.
I’m working on yesterday’s write ups for the owners and this evening I will load up one of my own horses for a rodeo barrel race, which I haven’t done since March!

Ground work should never be underestimated!
I listened to my horse and decided the best course of action tonight was not to be on her back. We connected in body language and cues, something that I hadn’t done in a while with her. Exercise isn’t just long jogging or loping for stamina, but it’s holding one’s posture properly at static first before incorporating movement. I did some cranio sacral work with her and had two white kitties for an audience. 🩷🖤

Michelle & Granddaughter Maddison shared how much they loved my fly spray recipe!

"First time riding Destiny since we’ve started her on Essential Equine Therapies’s Sis’s Gut Support! The last time I rode Destiny was when I took her to a race. The old reliable horse, who never did anything wrong, “bucked” about 15 times. I say “bucked” in quotes because they were nothing big. But, for Destiny, that was a huge deal. I realized that the cause had maybe been due to ulcers. She has since stopped showing any other symptoms and I think today confirmed that she is back to her normal self! We are continuing to give her Sis’s Gut Support twice a week. So very happy that she is feeling good again! Since she turns 25 in May, I’ve decided that I’ll no longer race her. But she is still happy to carry a person on her back so she will still occasionally be ridden!"

"I haven’t even shared this with Chelsea yet lol so I just had to share it with everyone! When we bought Hershey, he was 6 years old and we already knew that he had arthritis in his front legs. He would have his good days and his bad days. He is now almost 22 years old.
