“You want to know if your friend group is real? Start talking about Jesus.

You want to know if that person is supposed to be in your life? Start talking about Jesus.

You’ll find out real quick where people stand with you when you start talking about the one that saved you!

It may cost you friendships, relationships, jobs, and more. However, He gave his life for you! That’s worth talking about!

Don’t sacrifice your faith to fit in with culture!”

Romans 8:28 (ESV)
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”

Have you ever walked through a house while it was still being built?

It’s a mess.

Lumber everywhere. Wires hanging from the walls. Dust on the floor. Holes where doors should be.

If you didn’t know what you were looking at, you’d probably think, “This is supposed to become a home?”

But the builder sees something you don’t.

He has the plans.

He knows where the walls are going. He knows why that wire is hanging there. He knows what that pile of lumber is going to become.

The mess makes sense to the person holding the plans.

Maybe that’s where you are right now. You’re looking around at your life and all you can see are unfinished pieces. Things that didn’t go the way you thought. Prayers that haven’t been answered the way you wanted. Seasons that honestly just don’t make sense.

But you’re looking at the construction site.

God is looking at the plans.

Romans 8:28 doesn’t say everything that happens will be good.

It says God can work all things together for good.

There’s a difference.

Just because you can’t see what He’s building doesn’t mean He stopped building.

Trust the Builder.

He has the plans. 🙂

“Sometimes, God calms the storm. Often times, he strengthens the sailor. Don’t lose hope because He may be preparing you for something you couldn’t handle with yesterday’s strength.”

“Three words that, in my opinion, represent the foundation of a life worth building.

Faith gives us something greater than ourselves to stand on.

Family reminds us what we're working so hard to protect.

Freedom gives us the opportunity to live those values openly.

None of those things should ever be taken for granted.

I've found that the older I get, the simpler life becomes.

Not because it's easier.
But because I'm more certain about what actually matters.

At the end of the day, I'm not going to remember another busy week or another item crossed off a to-do list.

I'll remember the time spent with my family.
The moments God carried me through when I couldn't do it on my own.
The freedom to live out those values every single day.

That's what I hope this weekend is really about. Not just celebrating America's 250th birthday, but taking a moment to appreciate the blessings we already have.

I hope you get to spend time with the people you love, thank God for the freedoms we enjoy, and create a few memories you'll look back on years from now.

Have a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend.

Stay Blessed!”

Just because it’s popular doesn’t mean it’s right! Remain focused on God’s plan for your life and not the world’s!
