💙 Have a PCOS (PMOS) appointment coming up? Save this checklist for your next visit! 🩺

Managing PCOS involves looking beyond your menstrual cycle. Depending on your symptoms and medical history, your healthcare provider may recommend tests to better understand your hormone levels, metabolic health, and overall well-being.

📝 Tests to discuss with your doctor:
• Fasting insulin and fasting glucose
• CRP (inflammation marker)
• Free testosterone and DHEA-S
• Vitamin D and vitamin B12
• Thyroid panel

Remember, not everyone with PCOS needs every test. Your doctor can help determine which tests are appropriate for your individual needs.

✨ Your health matters. Ask questions, advocate for yourself, and work with your healthcare team to make informed decisions about your care.

🥚✨ Your future family, your timeline.

You may not be ready to have children right now, and that’s okay. Whether you’re focusing on your career, waiting for the right time, or facing a medical diagnosis that could affect your fertility, egg freezing may be an option worth exploring.

Egg freezing can help preserve your eggs for potential future use, giving you more flexibility as you plan your future. 🤍

Every fertility journey is different, and egg freezing doesn’t guarantee a future pregnancy. A fertility specialist can help you understand your options, timing, and what may be right for you.

💙 Thinking about freezing your eggs? Let’s talk about your options.

🥚 Egg retrieval doesn’t always mean an egg will be found in every follicle.

During IVF, follicles are drained to collect the fluid that may contain an egg. Even if an ultrasound shows several follicles and the team expects to retrieve a certain number of eggs, the actual number can be different. Sometimes, a follicle may not yield an egg during retrieval.

In this reel, Dr. Joshua Berger explains what can happen during egg retrieval and why the number of follicles doesn’t always equal the number of eggs collected. 🤍
Every IVF journey is different, and your fertility specialist can help you understand what your results mean for your individual treatment.

Is inflammation affecting your well-being in ways you might not expect? 🔎🤍

Inflammation isn’t always obvious. While pain, swelling, and redness are familiar signs, other symptoms can be less noticeable.

✨ Understanding your body’s signals is an important step toward better health. If you’re experiencing persistent or unexplained symptoms, speak with your healthcare provider to explore possible causes.

And remember, symptoms alone can’t confirm inflammation or identify its source. Every person’s health journey is different.

💬 Have you ever experienced symptoms you didn’t realize could be worth checking? Share your thoughts below!

Hormones play an important role in reproductive health, and understanding them can be an important step in your fertility journey. 🤍

If you're navigating PCOS, certain hormone tests can help your healthcare provider better understand what's happening in your body.

🧬 Testosterone and DHEAS can help assess androgen levels.
🌸 LH and FSH provide insight into reproductive hormone patterns.
🦋 TSH helps evaluate thyroid function.
💧 Prolactin helps identify elevated levels that may affect menstrual cycles.
🩺 Progesterone can help assess whether ovulation has occurred, depending on when it's measured.
🍃 Insulin and glucose testing may help evaluate metabolic health.

Remember, hormone levels can vary depending on your cycle, timing, and individual health. No single result can tell the whole story, and not everyone with PCOS has the same hormone patterns.

✨ Save this post for your next appointment and share it with someone who wants to learn more about PCOS and hormonal health.

Your hormones need nourishment, not extremes. 🤍🥑

Did you know that the foods you eat can play a role in supporting your hormonal and metabolic health?

✨ Estrogen: Fiber-rich foods can support healthy estrogen metabolism and elimination.

✨ Progesterone: Nutrients such as vitamin B6, vitamin C, and magnesium help support normal body functions involved in hormonal health.

✨ Testosterone: Adequate protein, zinc, and healthy fats help support normal hormone production.

✨ Cortisol: Balanced meals, steady blood sugar, quality sleep, and stress management can all support your body’s stress response.

The goal isn’t to follow a restrictive diet or find one magical food. It’s to nourish your body consistently with a variety of nutrient-rich foods. 🥗

Remember, hormones are complex, and nutrition is just one piece of the puzzle. Your individual needs may vary, so speak with a healthcare professional if you have concerns about your hormonal or reproductive health.

Save this post as a reminder that small, sustainable habits matter! 🤍
