Speech therapy doesn't always look like flashcards.

Floor-time means getting on the floor, following your child's lead, and letting connection do the work - building self-regulation, communication, and language along the way.

We use it in every session at SSF. Save this, questions below. πŸ‘‡

Tongue tie release is one of the most Googled and most debated topics in pediatric speech and feeding.
The research is still mixed.
What's not debatable: every child is different, and this decision deserves more than one opinion.

A speech language pathologist can help you understand what's actually driving your child's feeding or speech challenges and whether a release is worth pursuing for your family.

We help families build the right team for their child. Send us a message if you're not sure where to start.
Has your child been evaluated for tongue tie? What was that process like for you? πŸ‘‡

Is your toddler losing words they already had?

Regression is one of the things I tell every parent to act on immediately, no matter the age.

Here are some signs to watch for by age:

12 months: Are they babbling, pointing, and responding to their name?
18 months: Do they have 10-20 words? Do they rely on pointing & pulling you instead of talking?
24 months: Do they have at least 50 words? Do they combine 2 words yet? ("more milk," "daddy go") Can strangers understand them?
36 months: Can strangers understand them or only family? Do they have noticeably shorter sentences than their peers?

None of these mean something is wrong. They mean it's worth a conversation.
An evaluation isn't a diagnosis. It's information. And information is power.
