I am a New York State Board licensed massage therapist with nearly a decade of experience. I received my training at Swedish Institute of Health Sciences in New York City. After graduating, I practiced out of a prominent downtown physical therapy clinic treating a diverse clientele for a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. I’ve since established myself privately, allowing for a more one-on-one
relationship with clients. Receiving massage and bodywork was an integral part of my own journey towards embodiment and personal integration. It was these experiences that inspired me to study massage and become a practitioner myself so that I can share this benefit with others. Since then, my passion for massage has only grown, and I continue to find great joy in my opportunity to treat others. When not practicing bodywork, I enjoy playing piano, practicing yoga, boxing, and exploring New York City.

At Urban Ease Bodywork, sessions are client-focussed. This means they are designed to meet the needs and comfort level of the client. In a massage session, what’s important is that you are comfortable and getting the treatment that works for you. Some clients prefer a softer or slower touch while others don’t know the meaning of too much pressure. Some enjoy chatting during their sessions while others value it as an opportunity to completely zone out and enjoy the silence. Some people have no problem disrobing while others prefer to remain clothed during sessions. In the end, sessions can be adapted towards anyone’s needs and preference, and a client should never hesitate to let those needs be known. Technique-wise, sessions typically draw upon on a Swedish-style toolset, integrating deep-tissue maneuvers for those who prefer deeper pressure. Myofascial release and trigger point techniques are also often utilized when appropriate. Many of us in the modern age struggle with core and scapular stabilization which can lead to various discomforts. To those interested, I offer coaching in these principles as well introducing gentle exercises clients can practice at home. Visit our website to see additional modalities and specialties. Massage is for everyone, and all are welcome at Urban Ease Bodywork regardless of age, gender, sexuality or identity. Services provided and client draping are always practiced in accordance with state board rules and regulations.
