The alcohol you’re drinking is poisoning you. Yes that’s right. It’s a neurotoxin and carcinogen (meaning it kills brain cells and increases the risk of cancer.) Instead swap it out for a cup of herbal tea that’s full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that can help nourish you.

Whenever I travel I always look for green spaces and a chance to connect with nature. This is one of my favorite spots in Toronto 🌱 tucked away in the middle of the city, Allan Gardens feels like stepping into another world 🌿 it’s one of those spots that makes you forget you’re in the middle of a city. If you’re in Toronto and need a quiet, green & free (!) escape, this is it.

There’s a gorgeous Buddhist temple right in Niagara Falls that most visitors miss 🪷This was one of my favorite stops on my trip and was a much needed quiet escape from the crazy tourist district. It was so calming to be amongst the 10000 buddhas and breathe.

If you’re planning a trip to Niagara Falls and want something outside the usual tourist spots, this is one of the most peaceful things to do in the area and it’s a Niagara Falls attraction you don’t hear much about.

Your peace isn’t up for debate. Choosing sobriety, healthy living, and peace isn’t always easy, especially when it makes others uncomfortable. But just remember: their discomfort is not your responsibility. Protect your peace ☮️

echinacea is not only healing but it’s a beautiful addition to your garden 🌸 echinacea has been used in herbal medicine to help fight viral infections and support immunity for centuries and it’s essential for the ecosystem too! But it’s becoming endangered from overharvesting.

if you’re into herbalism, flower gardening, or just want something beautiful and useful growing in your yard, echinacea is worth adding to your garden. it’s proof that healing and beauty can grow side by side.

🌸Echinacea should only be used in small doses and over a short time. Do not use it daily. Always do your research before working with herbs.

⚠️ disclaimer: i’m not a doctor and this isn’t medical advice. this post is for educational purposes only. please consult a healthcare provider before using echinacea or any herb especially if you’re on medication or have underlying health conditions.

We don’t talk enough about what alcohol actually does to our bodies. we’re taught alcohol is how we celebrate, unwind & cope but that is marketing not truth. The real reward is on the other side: clarity, energy, serenity and actually feeling your feelings instead of numbing them.

so much of the pressure around quitting drinking comes from thinking you need to have it all figured out before you start. You don’t. You just need one sober day and then another.

if you’re sober curious and ready to quit drinking alcohol, try swapping alcohol for something that actually heals and nourishes you (like a cup of herbal tea or a smoothie) and take it one day at a time.
