Something I've been sitting with lately:
Most of what we call "who I am" isn't really chosen. It's installed. Written early, by experience and environment, before we had the awareness to question it.
The anxiety. The self-doubt. The reaching for control. The never-quite-enough feeling. These aren't character flaws. They're old code doing exactly what it was designed to do — protect a younger version of you who genuinely needed protection.
The work isn't to fight the code. It's to find it, understand it, and gently show it that the world it was written for no longer exists.
That's what freedom actually looks like.
