And just like that, S.T.A.R.S. Camp 2026 is officially a wrap! ⭐💙

Our Bigs finished up camp this week, closing out another incredible summer filled with laughter, friendship, new experiences, and so many memories we hope our campers will carry with them long after camp is over.

We are incredibly thankful for every camper, staff member, and supporter who helped make both our Littles and Bigs camps so special this year. A special thank you to Rock Springs Ranch for once again providing such an incredible setting for our Bigs to learn, explore, have fun, and make memories together. We couldn’t do it without you!

Now that S.T.A.R.S. Camp 2026 is officially in the books, we think everyone has earned one final camp activity... A really, really long nap. 😴

Building a stronger, more prepared community starts with education.

Recently, community partners completed trainings designed to strengthen their ability to support others:

Staff from Flint Hills Summer Fun Camp and Konza Prairie Community Health Center completed De-Escalation Training, learning strategies to stay calm in challenging situations, use effective communication, create safe physical distance, and adapt to changing dynamics.

Pawnee Mental Health Services staff completed Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), gaining skills to recognize mental health and substance use challenges, respond appropriately, and connect individuals to resources.

Pottawatomie County 4-H staff completed Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), learning how to support youth ages 12–18 experiencing mental health or substance use challenges.

Mental Health First Aid is designed to be as common as CPR — because knowing how to recognize and respond to mental health challenges can make a meaningful difference.

From Driving the Dream to Inspiring Hope & Help, these moments reflect a tradition that has continued to grow.

What began in 2019 at the Midwest Dream Car Collection has evolved alongside our community. As support for Pawnee grew, so did the event. After outgrowing its original home, Inspiring Hope & Help found a new home at the K-State Alumni Center, where we've gathered for the past three years to continue making a difference.

As we celebrate A New Day at Pawnee, we're also celebrating the people who have been part of this journey—the supporters, partners, and community members who have helped make this tradition possible.
