I used to NEVER workout. Here’s the real real on what happened:
One day, I had a stressful day at work and hardly left my desk. My boyfriend essentially breathed next to me and I flipped. I realized that I needed a way to release my energy and stress in a healthier way, that day I downloaded a workout app and did 10 minutes of barre and went for a quick jog.
I felt so much better😇
The next day, I did it again and felt great again. For the next 3 months I did 10 minute workouts most days. For the next few months after, I slowly bumped it to 15 minutes. I slowly added on a few minutes at a time until I was able to do a 30 minute HIIT workout which felt like a HUGE accomplishment.
Now, I train anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours at a time.
I'm telling this story because I think it's easy for someone new to working out to be intimidated by other people online. They might try it, only make it for a few minutes, collapse, feel disappointed and give up. If this is you - DO NOT GIVE UP! It took me 2 years to be able to train for more than 30 minutes at a time consistently.
When you're scrolling through instagram and see all of these influencers with amazing bodies, remind yourself that what you're not seeing is the blood, sweat, defeat, and tears that they went through to get there. You can do it too, you just need to be patient with yourself, and love your body throughout the entire process 💜💜💜
