Let me introduce myself!
I’m Chelsea Carpenter, your massage therapist / owner of Tava Massage & Bodywork. Owning a massage business in Manitou has been a dream for years, and now I finally get to serve my community!
✨ I am a lover. I love people, the earth, and the beautiful invisible energy/spirit that ties us all together. My goal in life is to help support you in being your best self. I don’t believe that anyone should ever apologize for taking up space, or not shaving their leg hair for that matter. Tava was created as a space to let you be you, breathe, and heal.
In my spare time I play music in A Carpenter’s Daughter , a local folk rock band. If I’m not playing music you can catch me walking my pup Sammy or camping with my amazing husband and weirdo friends.
I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2021, working in different settings but most consistently medical massage with veterans. Before becoming certified in massage, I was a youth mentor for years working in human services, residential treatment, wilderness therapy, paddle boarding camps, etc. I am grateful now to have one on one time with my clients to either hold quiet space or chat about whatever is on your mind.
The name Chelsea actually means “sea port” and I am honored to be a safe dock for the ship of your mind, body, and spirit. I look forward to meeting you :)
