A family of ducks is safe and sound today after being rescued from a storm sewer at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital. The ducks’ morning jaunt turned into a terrified mother duck frantically calling for her babies who fell into the sewer. All ducklings are doing well after being retrieved by three members of the Manitowoc Fire Department. The duck family quacked their thanks and happily waddled off to new adventures after the rescue. Thank you to the Manitowoc Fire Department for this extra courtesy to our feathered friends.

We were thrilled to have emergency medical service (EMS) crew members from Orange Cross Ambulance, Inc., Valders Fire and Rescue, Manitowoc Fire Rescue Department, City of Kiel Fire Department, City of Two Rivers Fire Department and Mishicot Area Ambulance Service join us last week as we celebrated EMS week with food, fun and fellowship.
