Women’s Vitality & Fertility

Women’s Vitality & Fertility Women’s Vitality and Fertility offers telehealth and in office appointments for all things women! Hi, I’m Ashley! They are my world!

I am a proud mother of three, a wife, and a dog mom. We have a schedule full of sports, love the lake and our family fosters dogs (on occasion we foster fail) but my true passion is for women's health and fertility. After having our twins, we struggled with infertility and found ourselves with six years between children which was not the intended plan; although, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I

have been a Physician Assistant since 2013 and have specialized in women's health and fertility since 2015. Not only do I have a passion for women's health and fertility but I have been trained in multiple fertility treatments and testing. I love helping women through difficult journeys in hopes of having a wonderful outcome.Fertility is its own rollercoaster of emotions filled with success and failures. Each cycle can be so difficult mentally and emotionally, I strive to give women support through these difficult times.

One of the most common questions I hear is, "Is my GLP 1 medication making my hair fall out?"

The good news is that the medication itself is not usually the culprit. Temporary hair shedding can occur after any rapid weight loss because of the stress the body experiences during significant metabolic change.

The best ways to reduce your risk are eating enough protein, avoiding crash diets, correcting nutritional deficiencies, and losing weight at a healthy pace.

If you're experiencing hair loss while taking a GLP 1 medication, don't panic. There are many possible causes, and together we can determine what's going on and create a plan.

This is exactly the kind of conversation we have during follow up visits. 💛

Many women are surprised to learn that perimenopause can begin in your late 30s or 40s, even if you're still having regular periods.

Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause, and hormone levels can fluctuate for years before your final menstrual period.

If you've noticed changes in your cycles, sleep, mood, hot flashes, or vaginal dryness, you're not imagining it and you don't have to simply "push through."

There are a variety of evidence based treatment options available, depending on your symptoms, medical history, and goals.

If you're wondering whether your symptoms could be related to perimenopause, we're here to help you understand what's happening and discuss options that fit your needs.

Hydration plays a bigger role than you might think. 💧

Healthy cervical mucus is important during your fertile window, and staying hydrated helps support its normal function. While drinking more water isn’t a cure for fertility challenges, it is an easy habit that supports your overall health and reproductive wellness.

Remember, every healthy choice adds up.

💙 Have you had enough water today?

One of the most common questions I hear is, "What actually happens at a fertility consultation?"

Many people worry they'll immediately be told they need IVF or extensive testing. In reality, the first visit is about getting to know you and understanding your journey.

We'll review your history, discuss any testing you've already completed, perform an ultrasound when appropriate, and talk through what options make the most sense for your specific situation.

Sometimes the next step is as simple as cycle tracking or a few additional tests. Other times, medications or procedures may be recommended. Every plan is individualized.

If you've been wondering whether it's time to schedule a fertility consultation, we're here to help you understand your options.

Women are often the caregivers, planners, supporters, and problem solvers for everyone around them.

But who is taking care of you?

Mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, burnout, and sleep difficulties are incredibly common. They are not a personal failure, and they are not something you simply need to "push through."

Sometimes symptoms are related to life stress. Sometimes hormones, medical conditions, sleep disruption, or other factors may contribute.

If you have been struggling, know that support is available and treatment options exist.

Taking care of your mental health is an important part of taking care of your overall health.

Many women assume irregular periods are simply "their normal."
While cycle length can vary slightly from month to month, consistently irregular cycles may be a sign that ovulation is not occurring regularly.
Ovulation disorders are one of the most common causes of infertility, but they can also be associated with conditions such as PCOS, thyroid disorders, and other hormonal imbalances.
If your periods are unpredictable, infrequent, or absent, an evaluation can help identify the cause and determine whether treatment is appropriate.
Understanding your cycle is often the first step in understanding your fertility.
