I’m going to say something that probably isn’t very “spiritual practitioner” of me.
Some of you may relate to this.
Lately, I’ve been scrolling through social media and thinking:
“Oh, for f**k’s sake.”
There. I said it.
I’ve been annoyed by other spiritual practitioners.
The perfectly curated wisdom.
The endless positivity.
The certainty.
The “everything is happening exactly as it should” messaging.
The posts that make spirituality look like you've reached some magical level of consciousness where nothing bothers you anymore, you never question anything, and apparently every painful experience is just another beautiful opportunity for growth.
Yeah. No.
And then I had to stop judging them long enough to ask myself:
Why is this pi***ng me off so much?
And the answer wasn't particularly comfortable.
Maybe because I don't have it all together right now.
I’m grieving.
I’m tired.
I’m questioning things.
I’m navigating change.
I’m having days where I feel deeply connected…
…and days where I’m thinking, “What the hell am I doing?”
Some days I feel clear and grounded.
Other days I’d really appreciate it if Spirit would just send me a fu***ng memo. 😂
And maybe that's why all the polished certainty has been rubbing me the wrong way.
Because I don't want to pretend.
I don't want to be the spiritual practitioner who always has the answer, always sees the lesson, always knows what Spirit is doing, and somehow manages to turn every difficult experience into an inspirational Instagram caption.
That isn't my truth right now.
And honestly, I’m starting to think that maybe it doesn't have to be.
Being a healer doesn't mean I'm finished healing.
Being intuitive doesn't mean I always know what's coming.
Being spiritual doesn't mean I don't get angry, confused, exhausted, sad, or completely fu***ng human.
So right now I'm choosing to show up not polished, not perfect, never above you, but right beside you.
In truth.
In warmth.
In humor.
In humility.
In solidarity.
Because maybe the most spiritual thing we can do sometimes is stop pretending we've figured it all out.
Maybe we're all just doing the best we can, listening for the next little bit of guidance, and trying to keep our hearts open along the way.
So if you're in a season where you're questioning everything, feeling messy, grieving, lost, or simply wondering what the hell comes next...
You're not doing spirituality wrong.
And neither am I. ❤️
