Nothing says summer quite like good food, fresh air, and great company!

Ecumen Pathstone residents recently enjoyed a wonderful outdoor grill-out hosted by the Life Enrichment Team. Residents gathered on the patio to soak up the beautiful weather, visit with friends, and enjoy a delicious meal fresh off the grill. From juicy burgers and hot dogs to plenty of laughter and conversation, it was a perfect afternoon spent together.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to create opportunities for connection, community, and enjoying the simple pleasures of the season. Thank you to our Life Enrichment Team for making this special event possible!

It has been another hot and humid start to the week in Minnesota! We decided to mostly keep inside where the air conditioning kept us cool while we painted pictures of ocean side scenery. We learned a new technique that involved using a plastic fork to move the paint in such a way that it created a perfect palm on our palm trees. We hope all of our Facebook friends and family are finding ways to stay cool this week.

It’s fair season! That means barns are full, food is on a stick, and exhibit halls are packed with handmade masterpieces, prize-winning produce, and at least a few vegetables with faces only a gardener could love.

This year, Ecumen Pathstone got in on the fun by hosting our first annual Open Class Exhibit!

Residents and team members showed off some incredible talents with entries ranging from plants, herbs, and wonderfully ugly veggies to needlework, paintings, recycled art, and beautiful stained-glass creations.

The exhibit hall was open from Thursday afternoon through this morning, giving everyone plenty of time to stop by, admire the entries, and maybe get a little inspired for next year.

And the judges had one very easy decision to make… everyone earned a blue ribbon! 💙 Around here, we think putting your creativity on display deserves celebrating.

Thank you to everyone who entered and helped make our first Open Class Exhibit such a fun success. We have a feeling this just might become a new Ecumen Pathstone tradition!

🌽🌻 Pathstone Farmers Market was open for business! 🌻🌽

There was plenty of excitement as residents strolled from stand to stand, spending their market tokens on handmade treasures and delicious treats. Our marketplace featured beautiful lap blankets, watercolor artwork, fresh-cut flowers, homemade baked goods, gluten-free snacks, freshly popped popcorn, and refreshing lemonade!

The fun didn’t stop with shopping! Music filled the air, a bubble corner brought out plenty of smiles, and the market buzzed with conversation, laughter, and even a little friendly haggling over prices. It was wonderful to watch residents carefully choose their purchases, chat with vendors, and enjoy the authentic farmers market experience.

Events like these create opportunities for connection, creativity, and choice. Thank you to everyone who helped make our Pathstone Farmers Market such a memorable day! ❤️

One of our creative life enrichment team members, Yojana, had a great idea to do a little picture day at Ecumen Pathstone Landing.

A fun afternoon of snapping pictures on a Polaroid camera had the residents reminiscing about getting their children ready for school picture day. After several Polaroid printouts were developed and ready for framing, each resident created their own frame. It was special to see how each resident chose different colors and designs to put a personal touch on their frame. The final step of putting the project together gave each resident a nicely framed photo as a keepsake. It was a successful picture day at Ecumen Pathstone!

We needed a personal touch added to our doors, otherwise they all started to look the same! Residents enjoyed getting to work on cute cat doorknob decorations to add that creative touch to their apartment door. Each one is unique and wonderful in its own way.

Blue skies, sunshine, and meaningful programming! Getting outside to enjoy our beautiful and expansive courtyards is one of our favorite things to do at Ecumen Pathstone Landing. You never know what you will find us up to out there! Bean bag toss, parachute, kick ball, and the list goes on!

Like many Americans, Ecumen Pathstone has spent the last week celebrating our country and its 250th birthday. We made patriotic center pieces for the dining rooms throughout campus. We decorated with red, white, and blue as well as a plethora of American Flags. We served cupcakes while enjoying the music of our Environmental Services Director, Terry Rudenick. We handed out t-shirts to residents and team members displaying our American and Ecumen pride. It is a great time of year to not only celebrate America but to be grateful to live and work in the land of the free, home of the brave. ❤️🤍💙
