As word keeps traveling and people are finding out more, I just need to share.

Saturday my parents were in a horrible motorcycle accident.

My step mom was badly injured and passed away yesterday surrounded by family. My sweet nephew asked to move her towards the window where the sun could shine down on her. As we were sitting there a small rainbow appeared. It was beautiful.

My dad is a few rooms down from my step mom and he is heavily sedated with a chest tube breathing for him. He required more oxygen yesterday and is responsive when nurses move him or change bandages. He has a broken shoulder/clavicle and wrist that will require surgery.

As I ride the emotional Rollercoaster, I just ask to please be respectful at this time of my family's mourning and loss.

Thank you to those who have reached out to offer help already.

Please keep my dad in your prayers. He is going to need so much support and quick healing as he absolutely HATES hospitals.

We got the opportunity to volunteer for the 5th yr doing chair massages for Stand Down today.

What a great day it was to see all the organizations and community gather to support our Vets! I got to reconnect with several people I have met from over the years and witness such great compassion for those who have served.

It doesnt go without saying that if not all, most are vets who volunteered and have spent countless hours organizing, planning, committing to this project. Without them, none of this would be possible!!!

I come from a long line of people who have served in my family and have a passion to get involved in this project.

I got multiple marriage proposals as well today! 🤣

So thank you to all who have served, are serving, or signing up/thinking about serving. I am proud of you and thank you for your service!

My girls are some of the biggest supporters I have. They put up with a lot of my shenanigans and for the most part are totally cool with it.

Tonight as I was prepping for some Stand Down stuff they were all for helping me stuff bags and get things squared away.

When you have 2 events in 1 month, and your daughter's 6th birthday to plan along with school pictures, working full time, getting doctor visits in and all the things...it's a bit chaotic in my brain....

So thanks for the grace as I slowly respond to you all. September is quite abundant 🤪 and I am fastening my seatbelt for a wild ride.
