I’m going to keep sharing the Brew York Festival. I had never heard of it. They do it every year and every year it honors and helps a local family. This year it’s honoring our Hunter. Check it out!!!

🎸🎗️ 2026 marks 10 Years of Brew York, and we are pulling out all the stops with an epic 2-night anniversary event at the historic Madison Barracks Polo Grounds.

But beyond the incredible bands and the regional craft vendors, the true heartbeat of this festival has always been our mission: supporting Rock Out Childhood Cancer (ROCC).🎗️

When you become an official partner, you aren’t just getting your business name in front of thousands of local consumers—you are directly helping local families fighting childhood cancer… this year we’re helping an amazing family- Hunter Strong One Team One Fight

HUGE SHOUT OUT TO Colosse Cheese Store for the absolutely fantastic job making Hunter’s ice cream cake.
Every year we have gotten his daddy’s cakes there and used to get his Gpa Joe’s cake there as well.
Every year at their parties people ask where the cake came from and someone always states they didn’t know Colosse does this. They do, and they’re amazing every time.
This year the cake was more meaningful and more important. The order was handled professionally and with care as only a local small town business does.
Hunter designed the cake and chose the photo which Colosse then made into a transfer. He listed all his favorite player’s numbers to be put on the cake.
Thank you, Colosse! Thank you for taking the care you did to make this special for Hunter.

My apologies. I tried to share a post from Will Roberts earlier today that showed how helpful port protectors are. It did not post correctly. It somehow posted a photo of the Hunter and his mom and dad. My intent in sharing was to share education and a helpful tip if you or a loved one is going through this.

Since that didn’t work but the post still got several likes I’ll share a quick Hunter update.

Hunter did a full day of school on Monday.
Today , Tuesday June 2, 2026, Hunter had chemo outpatient. It was a long day for him. He got vincristine and Cyclophosphamide. It was a tough day on the cancer ward. I’m told there was a little girl who screamed all day long, the primal, horrible fear screams. The walls are thin there and that’s if you’re fortunate enough to get a room. Not complaining, just making others aware. There are few things harder than seeing a children’s cancer clinic or cancer treatment floor in the hospital. There are kids who have to spend a lot of time in the hospital without parents because this country doesn’t have anything in place as far as parents being able to be with their children if they’re in treatment. Hopefully that changes in the very near future.

Tomorrow, Hunter will go into school again.

Photos below are ones I took of Shane and Hunter sharing their trucker hat looks that shane gets such a kick out of. Pics are foggy because my camera protector is broken.

If you’re new to our page, Hunter just turned 9. He was diagnosed with localized Ewing Sarcoma in his upper right humerus on January 5, 2026. He had limb salvage surgery April 14, 2026 at Boston Children’s Hospital. Surgeons removed the tumor and replaced his bone with cadaver bone. Recovery is going very well for Hunter and he’s already showing signs of new bone growth. Prayers for good union. Hunter will continue chemotherapy through August. Once chemo is done he can start to do some strength training physical therapy. He still faces a long road of recovery. Hunter is a hockey nut. Before this diagnosis, he was on the ice up to five days a week. Hunter says he will play hockey again.
