Bantu Roots Compassionate therapy for individuals and couples navigating relationships, anxiety, trauma, identity, life transitions, and emotional patterns.

LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally responsive, and spiritually integrated. I’m Christian Longue Dessug, also known as Coach Chris, founder of Bantu Roots Holistic Healing Center. I provide client-centered therapy, mental health coaching, relationship support, and personal development services for individuals and couples. My work is grounded in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy. Together, we explo

re the deeper roots of your emotions, relationship patterns, fears, coping strategies, and recurring challenges so you can understand not only what you do, but why you do it. Therapy with me helps you identify and unlearn patterns that may have once protected you but now limit your confidence, relationships, and emotional well-being. Through insight, emotional processing, nervous-system regulation, and intentional mental health repatterning, you learn healthier ways of responding to yourself, others, and life. My goal is not to control your choices or make you dependent on therapy. It is to help you develop greater self-awareness, emotional control, confidence, and flexibility so you can create lasting change and navigate future challenges with greater freedom. My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and open to integrating spirituality when it supports the client’s healing and personal values.

So many people are asking this exact question right now, is this burnout, or is it something more? Here's how to start telling the difference. If this sounds like you, I'd be glad to talk it through. Book a free 15-minute consultation at www.banturoots.com. I am an LPC-A (101595), supervised by Dr. Peta-Gay Ledbetter, LPC-S. This content is for education and reflection. It is not a diagnosis or a substitute for individualized mental health care."

"Save this if you've been calling it burnout and it hasn't been adding up."

Your body listens to the way you breathe.

When stress hits, you don’t always have to think your way out of it. Sometimes, start with the body.

Inhale for 4.
Exhale for 6.
Repeat 5 times.

That longer exhale is a simple way to tell your nervous system: we can slow down now.

You don’t have to fix everything in this moment. Just give your body a moment to feel safe enough to soften.

Save this for the next time your mind is racing. 🌿
