During a postpartum visit with my recent momma Katie Magers she said something that really stuck with me because it embodied exactly what I’m about as a doula.

“The only good part of my first birth was my daughter and I’d do it all over again for her, but I didn’t get a birth experience; it was something that happened to me and I got a baby at the end of it. This time I had this whole birth experience and it was amazing “

We welcomed our newest and edition on 10/13/2023.

It was an unexpected induction and shook my birth plans I had for myself. I can’t say enough good about Knox Community Hospital Birth Center. I was able to make decisions for myself while still being guided to do what’s best for me and my little babe.
Also so thankful for Awakening Moments, llc for being there for my birth. Having a doula myself was a great experience ! Emily was a fantastic ❤️

I can’t wait to be apart of this new momma’s experience. I’ve never done a birth while extremely pregnant but I think it’s safe to say extra tears are in store.
