This review reminded me of my “why.”
When I became a massage therapist, I didn’t just want to help people relax.
I wanted to create a space where people, especially women and mothers, could finally exhale.
Reading this review from a postpartum mom filled my heart in ways I can’t fully explain.
As moms, we spend so much time caring for everyone else that our own pain often gets pushed aside. Hours spent nursing, holding a baby, carrying diaper bags, rocking little ones to sleep, and functioning on very little rest can leave the neck, shoulders, chest, and back crying out for relief.
During her session, we focused on relieving her pain, but I also sent her home with stretches to continue her progress.
Those stretches help open the chest and improve posture, which can make breastfeeding more comfortable by reducing tension through the pecs, shoulders, and neck. The goal isn’t just to help someone feel better for an hour, it’s to help them continue feeling better after they leave my treatment room.
Massage also offers something many new moms don’t realize they need: a chance for their nervous system to slow down.
Lower stress. Better relaxation. A moment to simply be cared for.
To the moms reading this:
You deserve support.
You deserve relief.
You deserve time to take care of yourself, too.
To my amazing client, thank you for trusting me and for taking the time to leave such a heartfelt review. Reviews like yours remind me why I continue to grow, learn, and elevate Mind Body Healing every single day.
