Have a tension headache? Try this👇

For some people, tension and irritation in the muscles at the base of the skull can contribute to headaches, migraines, dizziness, or lingering concussion symptoms.

In this video, Dr. Joe demonstrates a simple self-release technique using a massage ball that may help reduce tension in the upper cervical region.

⚠️ Important: This isn't a cure-all, and it's rarely the only factor involved. But when it comes to chronic symptoms, addressing every contributing piece of the puzzle matters.

Save this exercise to try later and share it with someone who's been searching for answers beyond "everything looks normal."

What if your headaches aren’t actually starting in your head?

A lot of the headaches we see in-office are actually coming from trigger points and tension patterns in the neck and jaw.

Pain above the eye.
Pressure at the base of the skull.
Tension wrapping around the head.
Even tooth or jaw pain.

Your muscles can refer pain to completely different areas of the body, which is why so many people chase headache relief without ever addressing the actual source.

At Calibration Brain & Body, we look at the full picture:
✔️ Neck tension
✔️ Upper cervical dysfunction
✔️ TMJ involvement
✔️ Muscle trigger points
✔️ Nervous system stress

If headaches have become part of your normal routine, it may be time to look deeper. If you struggle with headaches, DM us!

If rolling over in bed, looking up, or turning your head quickly makes the room spin… it may not be “just dizziness.”

One common cause of vertigo is BPPV: a vestibular condition that can create sudden spinning sensations with specific head movements.

The good news:
When properly identified, treatment is often very targeted.

This video shows an Epley maneuver; a repositioning technique designed to help restore normal inner ear function and reduce vertigo symptoms at the source.

Too many people are told to “wait it out” or simply manage the symptoms.

But dizziness always has a reason.

Have you ever experienced spinning sensations when rolling over in bed or changing positions? Comment “YES” or tell us what your dizziness feels like below. 👇

Most people think vision problems start and end with the eyes.
But in many cases, the real issue is how the brain and eyes are working together.

When that communication becomes disrupted, symptoms can show up as:

• Blurred or unstable vision
• Eye strain or fatigue
• Dizziness or motion sensitivity
• Balance issues
• Difficulty focusing in busy environments

And often… everything still “looks normal.”

At Calibration Brain & Body, we look beyond surface-level symptoms to understand the neurological patterns driving them — because the brain and body are deeply connected.

Your care should be too.

Have you ever noticed your dizziness, headaches, or fatigue get worse in visually busy places like grocery stores, scrolling on your phone, or driving?

Comment with the symptom that shows up most for you. 👇

The symptoms people learn to “push through” every day are often the exact signals the nervous system has been trying to get your attention about.

Not just migraines.
Not just dizziness.
Not just neck tension or brain fog.

But the pattern underneath them.

So many people are told:
“Your scans look normal.”
“Maybe it’s just stress.”
“You just need more rest.”

Meanwhile, they’re struggling to get through work, drive comfortably, tolerate screens, or simply feel like themselves again.

Symptoms like:
• Migraines
• Dizziness or motion sensitivity
• Brain fog
• Neck tension
• Chronic fatigue
• Light sensitivity
• Feeling “off” or disconnected

…are not things you’re supposed to endlessly normalize.

Sometimes the issue isn’t that nothing is wrong.
It’s that nobody has connected the dots yet.

What symptom have you been told to “just live with”?
Or what symptom do you wish more people understood?

Comment below; we read every one.

Eye strain isn’t always the real problem.

For many people, it’s a signal.
A sign that the brain and visual system aren’t working together the way they should.

That’s why symptoms like:
• Headaches
• Blurry vision
• Dizziness
• Fatigue

…often show up alongside eye strain.

And it’s also why so many people are told “everything looks normal”:
because standard tests don’t measure how your brain is functioning.

At Calibration Brain & Body, we look deeper.

We assess how your brain processes visual and sensory information, and how that may be contributing to what you’re feeling day to day.

The goal isn’t to chase symptoms.
It’s to understand why they’re happening; so we can guide meaningful improvement.

Have you ever noticed your symptoms get worse with screens or visual tasks?

Just because your scans look “normal” doesn’t mean you feel normal.

At Calibration Brain & Body, we look deeper.

From vestibular function and proprioception to eye tracking and neurological movement patterns, we evaluate how your brain and body are actually communicating. Especially when symptoms like dizziness, brain fog, headaches, migraines, neck pain, or visual issues continue without answers.

In this case, advanced dynamic vision testing revealed inaccurate eye movements, poor tracking, and visual instability that were putting extra stress on the brain every single day.

These are the kinds of neurological dysfunctions that often get missed in traditional exams…but can make a huge difference in how someone feels.

If you’ve been told everything looks “fine” but you know something still isn’t right, there may be more to the story.

A “normal” MRI doesn’t always mean everything is functioning normally.

Many people dealing with dizziness, migraines, brain fog, balance issues, chronic headaches, or post-concussion symptoms are told their scans look “fine”… while they still don’t feel like themselves.

That’s because imaging shows structure.
But it doesn’t always show how the brain and nervous system are functioning.

At Calibration Brain & Body, we look deeper into the functional side of neurological health to help uncover what may be getting missed.

If you’ve been searching for answers and still don’t feel heard, there may be another piece to the puzzle.

Headaches and migraines are NOT always the same thing…and understanding the difference matters more than most people realize.

While both can cause head pain, migraines often come with additional neurological symptoms like:
• Nausea or vomiting
• Sensitivity to light or sound
• More intense, throbbing pain
• Difficulty functioning throughout the day

A typical headache may feel more dull and is easier to manage with over-the-counter medication.

If you’re constantly dealing with “headaches” that keep disrupting your life, there may be more going on beneath the surface.

At Calibration Brain & Body, we take a deeper look at how the brain and nervous system may be contributing to your symptoms.
