Happy Father’s Day from Wappner Funeral Directors

Today, we celebrate and honor all fathers and father figures who make a lasting difference in the lives of their families. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who lead with love, wisdom, patience, and strength in all they do.

We would also like to recognize the fathers on our Wappner team. Every day, they exemplify resilience, compassion, dedication, and integrity—not only in the work they do for the families we serve, but also as role models for their own children. We are grateful for the example they set both at home and in our community.

On this day, we also hold close those who are missing their fathers. Father’s Day can be a reminder of cherished memories, and the lasting impact of those who are no longer with us. To anyone remembering a father who has passed, please know that you are in our thoughts today.

May this Father’s Day bring moments of gratitude, reflection, and connection as we honor the fathers who have shaped our lives in so many meaningful ways.

With the permission of the family, we are honored to share a few special photographs from a truly memorable graveside service that took place last week.

This burial was a beautiful example of how a family's vision, combined with thoughtful planning and dedicated service, can create a one-of-a-kind tribute for a loved one. Upon arriving at Mansfield Cemetery, a horse-drawn caisson awaited at the cemetery gates. The pallbearers carefully placed the casket onto the caisson, and family and friends witnessed a dignified 15-minute procession through the cemetery to the burial site located in the back section of the grounds.

Upon arrival, military personnel stood ready to render full military honors, providing a moving and fitting tribute to a life of service. It was a powerful and unforgettable moment for all in attendance.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the family for their creativity and for entrusting us with the opportunity to help bring their wishes to life. Special thanks go to our lead funeral director, Joshua Woodruff, whose persistence, attention to detail, and commitment helped make this unique service possible. We are also incredibly grateful to our entire Wappner Funeral Directors team, whose professionalism and teamwork ensured that every aspect of the day unfolded seamlessly.

Adding to the beauty of the occasion, the weather could not have been more pleasant, providing the perfect setting for such a meaningful farewell.
