Celebrating community, faith, and financial empowerment! 🌟 Today’s incredible panel and celebration marked a powerful beginning. We felt truly fortunate to reconnect with familiar faces and forge new connections. It was a day filled with limitless possibilities.

At the 2026 Juneteenth Celebration, the Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Panel—presented by of Franklin County —ignited a sense of hope and empowerment. The panel consisted of our own DeWayne Lee from Healing Hearts Counseling Center, our dear friend (and guest at Party in the Park) Kyle Overmeyer of KO Addiction, our new friend Kwame Kilpatrick of Kwame Kilpatrick Ministries, and Robert Mackey from Village.

Speakers shared deep, life-changing wisdom and highlighted their powerful written works:

— Pastor Kwame Kilpatrick, Ministries (Author of the memoir, "Surrendered: The Rise, Fall & Revelation of Kwame Kilpatrick")

Pastor Kwame Kilpatrick also dropped essential truths on true wealth and breaking free from keeping up with the Joneses:
* The Culture Trap: We fail to make good purchases because we are addicted to culture and looking good, instead of making good financial decisions.
* Redefining Wealth: Shift the focus from "how do we pay for it" to how we love and enjoy life in moments. The best moments in life are completely free. Stop chasing labels!

We are grateful to numerous people for their role in making this such a great event! Additional posts will be published throughout the weekend.!

We all had a fantastic time at the Party in the Park, with the exception of this little guy, perhaps! Nevertheless, despite his trying experience, “rough time”, he would be willing to do it again on Monday.

Unfortunately, we must all wait until next year! We encourage you to join in on the fun!
