There’s so much more to birth than the moment a baby takes their first breath.

It’s the quiet teamwork, the watchful eyes, the gentle hands, and the people who come together to make sure both mama and baby are cared for.

Some of the most beautiful moments in birth aren’t the ones we plan for. They’re the ones that remind us what a privilege it is to be invited into these sacred spaces.

The laughter, the tears, the pure disbelief, and the overwhelming joy. This is what birth is all about. Not just welcoming a baby into the world, but witnessing a family’s world change forever.

What an absolute privilege it is to have a front-row seat to moments like these. 💙

One year of M&M Midwifery. 🤍

What an incredible year it has been. We are so grateful for every family who trusted us to walk alongside them through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and all the moments in between. It is an honor we never take lightly.

To everyone who has supported us, encouraged us, referred families to us, answered our calls, shared our name, and cheered us on - thank you. M&M would not be what it is without the community surrounding us.

We are so proud of this beautiful thing we’ve built, and we hope to continue serving families in our community for many years to come.

BIG NEWS! 🦒

After an extensive search, countless sightings, and a rigorous interview process, we’re thrilled to announce that Gracie has joined our team as our newest staff midwife.

Her qualifications include:
✨ Exceptional bedside manner
✨ Ability to keep an eye on everyone from a higher perspective
✨ Calm demeanor under pressure
✨ Willingness to work for snacks and head scratches

She has yet to master charting with hooves, but we’re confident she’ll be a wonderful addition to the practice.

This Black History Month, one of our favorite little humans (Midwife Melissa’s daughter, Caroline) chose to highlight the incredible legacy of Onnie Lee Logan. For over 40 years, she served families in Alabama, catching more than 800 babies and preserving the sacred tradition of community midwifery during a time of segregation and limited access to care. At M&M Midwifery, we know we didn’t build this path alone. We walk it because women like her paved it. Here’s to honoring the roots of birth work and raising daughters who know that history. 🌵🌻
