BIG NEWS! 🦒

After an extensive search, countless sightings, and a rigorous interview process, we’re thrilled to announce that Gracie has joined our team as our newest staff midwife.

Her qualifications include:
✨ Exceptional bedside manner
✨ Ability to keep an eye on everyone from a higher perspective
✨ Calm demeanor under pressure
✨ Willingness to work for snacks and head scratches

She has yet to master charting with hooves, but we’re confident she’ll be a wonderful addition to the practice.

This Black History Month, one of our favorite little humans (Midwife Melissa’s daughter, Caroline) chose to highlight the incredible legacy of Onnie Lee Logan. For over 40 years, she served families in Alabama, catching more than 800 babies and preserving the sacred tradition of community midwifery during a time of segregation and limited access to care. At M&M Midwifery, we know we didn’t build this path alone. We walk it because women like her paved it. Here’s to honoring the roots of birth work and raising daughters who know that history. 🌵🌻

We hoped all the babies would stay put this weekend… but one little guy had other plans.

He didn’t want to wait for warmer weather - or for his midwife.

While en route, Midwife Melissa coached mom and dad through the birth by phone and started this video to capture key moments for charting.

Mom & Dad did amazing and all are well! Midwife arrived just in time for the 1-minute APGAR. 😅
