We understand that handling your loved one's remains is a delicate and emotional task. Knowing your options can help you feel more comfortable and confident during this process.

Here are three common ways to transfer ashes into a new urn:

*Many families choose to bring their urn to the crematory or funeral home for professional assistance. They are usually happy to perform this task and will make sure the bag is closed with an official seal.

*In many cases, you can move the sealed plastic bag from the temporary container into the new urn. Our fiberglass urns feature a large opening that lets you slide the entire bag inside without needing to open it.

*If you prefer, you can transfer the ashes by gently pouring them directly into the selected urn.

All of our urns come with a tight-closing threaded seal to keep the contents secure. For those who want extra reassurance, you can add a small amount of silicone to the threads for a permanent seal.
