With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Joseph Gazo of Manville, NJ on August 28, 2026 at the age of 86.
Joe was born in Lansford, PA and moved to Manville for employment and a better life. He was employed at Johns Manville for 29 years as a laborer before their closing.
Joe loved the opera and country music. His favorite sports teams were the NY Giants and the NY Yankees.
Joe was a Member of Sacred Heart Church and in his younger days he was active working at the festivals, and an usher for many years.
He played softball, and umpired many games in the past, but Joe’s true passion was bird and deer hunting.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Mirella of 64 years. His daughter Lisa and son in law Bob, two grandsons Kile (Amy) and Adam (Amanda), granddaughter Amanda and two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Emma.
He was a kind man and had a huge heart. He loved his family and was proud being Pop Pop to his grandsons who he had an immense love for.
He will be missed by his family & friends.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, September 2, 2026
from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ 08835. The Funeral Mass will take place at 9:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (Christ The Redeemer Parish) in Manville, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum in Bridgewater, NJ.

Nick Shimsky, 90, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2026, with his loving family at his side.
Nick was born in Pottsville, PA and moved to Branchburg, New Jersey in 1964. He graduated from Minersville High School before entering the United States Air Force where he served most of his enlistment in Alaska working at a remote radar site, Murphy Dome, during the cold war. After being honorably discharged from the service, Nick worked for Johns Manville Corporation as a traveling salesman on the “Pipemobile”. It was during that time that which brought him to the Wheatfield, NY Water Department where he met his future wife, Margit Ann Marr.
They married in 1964 and moved to Branchburg where he completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College. Nick worked in a number of jobs until ultimately retiring as an engineer from Ethicon Inc., in Bridgewater, NJ after 20 years.
Nick was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Helen (Kregor) Shimsky. He is survived by his wife, Margit-Ann of Branchburg, NJ, children, Margit Helen of Poughkeepsie, NY; Nicholas James of Bridgewater, NJ; Michael David of Basking Ridge, NJ and eight grandchildren Charles, Nicole, Emma, Nick, Elizabeth, Ellen, Samantha and Katelyn.
Nick was a loving man could also be firm and uncompromising. Those that knew him understood that beneath his strong exterior was a heart that cared deeply for his family.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Constance “Connie” Sarnoski Joubert on August 20, 2026 at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hillsborough, N.J. where she was well taken care of for many years.

She was welcomed lovingly into the world on March 24, 1937 to the proud parents of Henry and Nettie Sarnoski in Elizabeth, New Jersey. It was there that she eventually met the love of her life, Edward “Eddie” Joubert. They were married in Hillside, New Jersey on August 26, 1957.

Ever since she was a child, Connie dreamed of living in the country and having horses of her own. That dream became a reality when she and Eddie found their special place on Long Hill Road in Hillsborough N.J. Their most fond memories were formed there along with friendships that lasted a lifetime.

One of Connie and Eddie’s most treasured memories was of a month long trip they took together with their four children from the east coast to the west coast, traveling through the National Parks of the Northern United States.

Connie loved all creatures large and small, especially her dogs and beloved horse Big Red who was with her until the end of his life.

She found peace in her beautiful gardens and was a fabulous cook.
She was always welcoming to anyone who needed a place to stay and a meal.

Above all else, Connie was devoted to her family. She will be deeply missed.

Walter A. Radomski, Sr., 88, of Manville, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2026, with his loving family at his side.
Walter was born in and lived his entire life in Manville, New Jersey. He graduated from St. Peter’s High School and completed various advanced educational programs in support of his design career. It was during his high school years that he met the love of his life, Connie. They went on to marry and share 53 wonderful years together before her passing in 2013. Together, they built a life centered around their family and raised six children. He was also blessed with eleven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, all of whom he cherished dearly.
Walter was employed by Johns Manville Corporation as a draftsman and designer for over 30 years. One of the many projects he worked on during his tenure included the designs for the thermal insulation packages for NASA’s early lunar modules. He was a proud and active member of the Johns Manville Quarter Century Club, recognizing his many years of dedication and service to the company. Following the closure of the Johns Manville plant, he continued his career at Ardell Corp. and Cardan Design, where he worked until his retirement.
Walter was loved by his entire family and dear friends. He greatly enjoyed celebrating family traditions, most importantly hosting Christmas Eve dinner every year with his extended family. In his younger years, he was an avid fisherman and continued...

Raymond G. “Big Ray” Guhl, 87, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, with his loving family by his side.
Born on August 21, 1938, in East Orange, New Jersey, Ray was the son of Adolf and Margaret Guhl. He was raised in Union, New Jersey, and made Bridgewater his home for the past 60 years, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, and kindness.
In 1958, Ray began his career with Schering-Plough in the Finance Department, where he would work until his retirement in 2003. It was there that he met the love of his life, Elaine. Together they built a beautiful life and shared 55 wonderful years of marriage before Elaine’s passing in 2019.
Ray also proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard, receiving an honorable discharge in April 1967. His commitment to service, strong work ethic, and quiet integrity were qualities that defined him throughout his life.
To know Ray was to know a truly gentle soul. He never looked for recognition, but he was always the first to offer a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or quiet support to anyone who needed it. He was a devoted husband, an incredible father, and a proud grandfather who treasured every moment spent with his family. His greatest joy in life was simply being surrounded by the people he loved.

Douglas E. Padla, 65, of Hillsborough, NJ passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. He was born on February 7, 1961 the son of the late Nicholas and Florence Padla.

He was an electrician for many years at the CMC Steel Company in Sayreville, NJ. Douglas enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Nicholas Padla in 2011 and his mother Florence Padla in 2022. Douglas is survived by his loving wife Jardenita Padla, his brothers Glenn Padla of Hillsborough, NJ and Wayne Padla and his wife Maureen of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his two nephews Shawn and Callen.

The visitation will be on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ 08835. Cremation will be private.
