Today, we honor Juneteenth—a celebration of freedom and a reminder of God’s heart for justice, dignity, and liberty for all people.

We rejoice in the end of slavery and reflect on the significance of this day in our nation’s history. As a follower of Christ, I recognize that freedom is close to the heart of God, who created every nation, tribe, and tongue with purpose, beauty, and value.

We celebrate and honor the rich diversity of ethnic heritage represented throughout our communities. Every culture reflects a unique part of God’s creativity.

Juneteenth reminds us that God’s heart is for the oppressed to be set free and for His people to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him. Stand for freedom, justice, and the truth that every person is created in the image of God.

This Transgender Day of Visibility (March 31), we honor the strength, resilience, and beauty of trans and gender-expansive people. NAMI Minnesota is here to provide safe, affirming spaces. We offer an online LGBTQ+ Connection Support Group every Saturday from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, and an online Connection Support Group for BIPOC LGBTQ+ every Sunday from 1:00 to 2:30 pm.
