Dolly Parton’s passing is a heartbreaking loss, but the impact of her life and her unwavering commitment to children, literacy, and giving will live on for generations in the Imagination Library. Inspired by her father, she believed every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy and possibility that comes from opening a book.

Since 2022, Batesville has partnered with the United Way of West Central Mississippi to bring Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to Vicksburg, MS - home to our wood processing plant. It is an honor to support Dolly's mission to put books into the hands and hearts of young children. In doing so, more than 3,000 local children have received free, age-appropriate books - helping new generations build a love of reading from the very beginning.

This is Dolly’s legacy in action: giving children books, opening doors, and believing in the power of a child’s imagination. May her impact continue to make a difference for generations to come.
