The pelvic floor is directly connected to the deep hip muscles, which means every time you walk or run, it is contracting and relaxing whether you are thinking about it or not.

When the hips are not moving well, that connection starts to cause problems. It also works in sync with the diaphragm. When the breathing pattern is off, the pelvic floor often tightens in response to help manage the pressure — and during high-impact activities like running, that tightening can lead to real symptoms.

It is a system, not just one isolated muscle group.

If this resonates with what you have been experiencing, reach out or send us a DM.

Heaviness, tightness, or sharp pain after running isn't something to just push through. We break down exactly what your pelvic floor is doing during impact — and what it's trying to tell you.

The environment where you receive care matters just as much as the care itself.

Feeling comfortable and supported makes the process easier to show up for and stay consistent with.

That passion for helping people recover is what drives everything here. It is not just about addressing the symptom — it is about making sure each person genuinely gets better.

If you have been looking for a place where you feel supported from the start, reach out or send us a DM. We would love to have you in!

Shoulder pain is one of those things that feels manageable at first, which is exactly why most people wait too long to address it.

Whether it is something structural or something like an impingement, leaving it unattended usually means it does not resolve on its own. What often happens is the body starts compensating without you realizing it.

Guarding, holding the arm close, adjusting how you move — all of that adds stiffness and muscle tension on top of the original issue, making the recovery longer and more involved than it needed to be. If shoulder pain has been lingering past a few days, do not wait it out.

Send us a DM so we can talk through getting ahead of it sooner rather than later.

Pelvic floor pain after running is not a sign of weakness, and it is not something you did wrong.

It is your body communicating that something needs attention, especially when you start increasing your training load. Understanding what the pelvic floor is actually responding to makes a big difference in knowing how to adjust your training without making things worse. Ignoring it or pushing through can sometimes take a small issue and turn it into a bigger one.

If you have been noticing pelvic pain during or after your runs, feel free to reach out or send us a DM.

Running is supposed to feel good. If your pelvic floor is saying otherwise, here's why. Full video on YouTube → https://youtu.be/pJnFuD3DRxc

A simple 5-minute reset in the middle of yard work can help your back recover before the tension builds too far. Laying on your back with your knees bent and arms out to the side reduces the stress on the lower back and gives the joints, discs, and muscles a chance to settle.

Adding some deep breathing while you are there makes it even more effective. That short pause can be enough to help you go back to the work feeling more comfortable instead of pushing through and compounding the strain.

If you have been skipping rest and noticing more pain, DM us so we can chat about what may help.

Love gardening but hate what it does to your back? You're not alone — and it's not inevitable. Know more on how you can find relief. Watch the full video today: https://youtu.be/CG31QLcqHaw

One of the most stressful things you can do to your lower back during yard work is twist while you are already bent forward. That combination takes the discs, muscles, and ligaments to the end of their range and then adds rotation on top of it.

That is a significant amount of load for the lower back to handle, and it often happens without people even realizing it. Being more intentional about separating those two movements can go a long way in reducing strain during gardening.

If this is something your back has been reacting to, do not hesitate to reach out or send us a DM. This one movement is doing the most damage to your back during yard work.

So many people just accept that yard work = back pain. We say it doesn't have to be that way. Watch the full video 🔗 https://youtu.be/CG31QLcqHaw

One surgery. Then another. Then another.

This isn't a coincidence — it's a pattern.

Every surgery creates scar tissue. Fix the low back and eventually the neck feels it. Fix the ankle and the knee, hip, and low back will have something to say — maybe not for 20 years, but they will.

And her at PT4EB, we know that can feel scary if you've already had one. You're not doomed, we promise!

But the more proactive you are after any surgery, the better your chances of it being your last.

If you have questions or want to talk through your situation, just DM us. We’ll be happy to help! 💜

One simple shift that can make a big difference during yard work is switching tasks every 15 minutes. It is not just about taking a break — it is about changing your body position so the same muscles and joints are not under constant stress the entire time.

Raking for an extended stretch, then moving mulch, then coming back to rake keeps the workload more distributed. That rotation is what helps you feel better at the end of the day instead of completely wiped out.

If yard work has been leaving your back sore, send us a DM and we can talk through what your body may need.

Sustained bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling — your body has limits, and we explain exactly where and why. Full video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CG31QLcqHaw

Neck tension so bad it feels like you're being strangled?

That's not something you should just push through.

One of our patients came in feeling exactly that way — and after her first visit, that sensation was gone. We still had work to do, but once we got that relief, we could actually start addressing the root cause: her breathing pattern, her diaphragm, her nervous system.

Your neck tension might be keeping you stuck in fight or flight without you even realizing it.

Send us a message if you’ve experienced the same! Let’s work together 💜
