Older adults are also more vulnerable to heat-related illnesses and dehydration during the summer months. Family members and caregivers can play an important role in helping older adults stay safe during periods of high heat and sun exposure.

June is PTSD Awareness Month, a time to recognize the invisible wounds many veterans carry long after their service ends.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone who has experienced trauma. For veterans, symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, or challenges readjusting to civilian life. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness. It is a step toward healing.
