Functional Kids, located within the Twin Cities in Maplewood, Minnesota, is a small, specialized occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech-language pathology clinic. Our team of dedicated and highly trained professionals strive to provide the best in occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech-language pathology. As therapists we devel

op personal and individualized therapy services for children and adults with a wide variety of developmental and functional needs. Each therapist is trained in a comprehensive array of treatment approaches. We believe in working as a team with clients, parents, health care providers, and school staff to plan and implement therapy services to children through adulthood. Therapy should be motivating, engaging, challenging and fun!

👋🏼 Join us in welcoming and welcoming back our 2026 summer staff at FunKids Clinic!

✏️ Laura MS, OTR/L has been working for FunKids for 13 years! We are excited to see her back again this summer.

💡Nicole (OT student) is working on her capstone project involving sleep and its affect on children. Thank you to those who have agreed to be interviewed by Nicole!

💡 Nancy is a 2nd year SLP student who is working with kids of all ages as she earns her masters degree.

💼 Marcie, Ruth, Mallory, and Eden are volunteering during the summer months. You might find them cleaning, observing treatment sessions, and generally helping us keep our clinic running smoothly.

👕 Check out our Lost and Found located outside of our building during business hours (weather permitting). We have jackets, sweatshirts, shorts, accessories, toys, and even shoes!

👖 Please help us reduce our overflowing Lost and Found box by checking it out during your child's session.

Congratulations to Faith and Joanna on earning their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Earning your "C's" includes a 9 month clinical mentorship program after completion of a post graduate degree. This includes hundreds of supervised hours and a deep commitment to high quality, evidence-based care in Speech Language Pathology.
