Wi******er Gardens officially kicked off the countdown to its Centennial Celebration with a special gathering honoring nearly a century of community, connection, and purpose.

Residents enjoyed live music from a pianist, fellowship with friends and neighbors, and inspiring remarks from Foundation representative Chris Hansen, Executive Director Sue Lippy, and resident Tom Schrader. Tom concluded the remarks with a heartfelt toast, celebrating Wi******er Gardens' legacy from its beginnings as the Ward Home and raising a glass to the next 100 years of friendship, service, and community.

As we begin the journey toward August 31, 2027, we're filled with gratitude for everyone who has helped shape Wi******er Gardens over the past century and excitement for all that lies ahead. The best is yet to come!

Shadow Painting!
Vases of flowers create shadows on paper (with the help of our phones!) then we painted the shadows. What a fun event. Thanks to resident Rosemary Guttormsson for bringing this program to our residents.

What a beautiful evening at Wi******er Gardens! Residents, family and friends recently gathered for “Dhrupad: A Soulful Evening,” presented by the Parikh Parivar Foundation.

Resident Shyam Parikh, along with the Gundecha Brothers, shared breathing techniques rooted in Naad Yoga and explored the significance of sound and vibration in spiritual well-being and health.The evening also featured a devotional vocal recital of Raag Kedar, creating a peaceful and uplifting experience for all who attended.

We’re grateful to Shyam for sharing his passion and knowledge with the Wi******er Gardens community—and for reminding us of the many ways our residents continue to inspire and enrich those around them.

We love giving our residents a platform to share the wisdom, experiences, and passions that make them who they are.

We’re excited to share the story of Shyam Parikh, who has been exploring the connection between ancient traditions, sound, and wellness through his knowledge of Sanskrit.

He is currently studying Naad Yoga, an ancient practice centered around sound and vibration, which he credits as a meaningful part of his journey with Parkinson’s.

Next week, he’ll be sharing his knowledge and demonstrating Naad Yoga right here at Wi******er Gardens. We’re looking forward to learning from him and celebrating the wisdom and experiences our residents and their families bring to our community.

Wi******er Gardens had a car wash to kick off the week! Team members cleaned resident cars as a fundraiser, and we had a blast!

25 cars washed, and we even had little helpers for a bit!
