Will we see you on Saturday?

The South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race in partnership with SOMA Justice: Addressing Race and Inequality are hosting One World Playgroup.

Observe with your family this weekend at our Pride-themed One World Playgroup for preschool children ages 2-5 (and their siblings!). They’ll participate in a fun activity led by local therapists (🙋‍♀️), while parents and guardians socialize and learn vital strategies for talking about LGBTQIA+ identity. Snacks will be provided!

In last night's final session of 3rd to 5th grade social skills group, students engaged in a collaborative story telling activity using story cards with pictures story elements. Skills targeted included active listening (receptive language), narrative development (expressive language), flexible thinking, creativity, and so much more. When asked their favorite activity from the past six weeks, some students chose this activity as their favorite!
