You can guide them.

You can hold the light for them.

But you cannot heal, grow, choose, or change on their behalf.

At some point, they must also reach for the rope.

Helping someone is beautiful.

But carrying someone who refuses to stand will slowly break you too.

Medical massage and sports massage overlap a lot, but the main purpose is different.

Medical massage is usually problem-focused and treatment-oriented.
It targets a specific condition, injury, pain pattern, or functional problem, often with a doctor, PT, chiropractor, or clinical referral involved.
The goal is things like reducing pain, improving range of motion, helping scar tissue, relieving nerve/muscle irritation, or supporting recovery from an injury.
Examples:
Neck pain with radiating arm symptoms
Low back pain
Frozen shoulder
Post-surgery soft tissue stiffness
Headaches from muscle tension
Car accident or work injury recovery
It usually includes assessment, treatment notes, goals, and sometimes billing/insurance language depending on the place.
