What an unforgettable afternoon at The Lafayette Rehab! 💙

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 6-year-old Alexia, who wowed our residents with an incredible dance and gymnastics performance. From amazing flips and cartwheels to impressive splits, Alexia's talent, confidence, and energy left everyone in awe!

Alexia is the daughter of our dietician, Katrina, and this is our second performance by this talented young lady. Our residents were all smiles as they cheered her on, and it was truly heartwarming to see the joy she brought to the room. After the performance, everyone gathered to celebrate with a delicious ice cream sundae bar, making the afternoon even sweeter. 🍦✨

A heartfelt thank you to Alexia for sharing her amazing talents and brightening the day for so many. Your performance created wonderful memories that our residents will be talking about for a long time! We can't wait to have you back again!

For the SECOND year in a row, Lafayette Rehabilitation has earned a Deficiency-Free State Survey! This outstanding accomplishment reflects our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality care and creating a safe, compassionate environment for our residents.

Today we’re celebrating the joy of summer, the spirit of Independence Day, and the wonderful residents who make our community so special. Whether you’re spending the day with family, enjoying a backyard barbecue, watching fireworks, or simply relaxing in the sunshine, we hope your day is filled with happiness, laughter, and cherished memories.

As temperatures rise, don’t forget to stay cool by drinking plenty of water, seeking shade or air conditioning when possible, and checking in on loved ones and neighbors to make sure they’re staying safe in the heat.

Our residents have gotten in the 4th of July spirit and also look beach ready for this hot weather!

⚽🌎 Lafayette Rehab Goes to the World Cup! 🌎⚽

What if our residents had front-row seats to the biggest soccer event in the world... or even stepped onto the pitch themselves? Thanks to a little AI magic, we're making those dreams come to life!

From cheering in the stands to scoring the winning goal, our residents are experiencing the excitement, energy, and spirit of the World Cup in a whole new way. While these photos are imaginative creations, the smiles, laughter, and joy they inspire are absolutely real.

At Lafayette Rehab, we love finding creative ways to spark memories, encourage conversation, and bring people together. Sports have a wonderful way of connecting generations, and today we're celebrating the beautiful game with our own all-star team!

Last Thursday, The Lafayette hosted a wonderful Memorial Day BBQ for our patients, families, and staff — and what a great turnout it was! 🇺🇸🌭🍔

A huge thank you to our incredible Food Service Department for preparing such a delicious meal, and to our amazing staff for serving everyone with smiles and kindness throughout the evening. We also loved the live music performed by guitarist Peter, which made the celebration even more special! 🎶

Even with the chilly weather, the event was filled with laughter, great food, music, and meaningful time spent together. It was truly a fun evening enjoyed by all!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the celebration so memorable. ❤️

Happy Nursing Home Week! 🎉💙

This week was all about celebrating our amazing staff with fun activities, treats, and special surprises throughout the week!

Monday kicked things off with delicious bagels from Bagel World 🥯
Wednesday everyone enjoyed relaxing chair massages 💆‍♀️
And Friday we wrapped up the week with subs from Jersey Mike’s!

We also had daily drawings for TWO $25 Visa gift cards every day all week long! And every staff member received their very own Lafayette canvas bag custom printed with our new logo! 🎁

Congrats to all of our lucky winners and thank you to everyone who helped make this Nursing Home Week so special. We are grateful for the dedication, compassion, and teamwork that make our facility such a wonderful place every day.

🎉 Congratulations to Priscilla on graduating from therapy at Lafayette Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Facility! 🎉
Through hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, Priscilla successfully met all of her therapy goals and is now discharging back home! We are so proud of all she has accomplished during her stay with us.
While we will certainly miss her smiling face, we know someone is especially excited for her return home — her beloved cat! 🐱❤️
Congratulations, Priscilla! We wish you continued health, happiness, and many cozy moments with your furry friend at home.

✨ A Special Thank You ✨

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible team members — Dani (Recreation Director), Kathy (Charge Nurse), Julia (DOR), Dez (Speech Therapist), and Dez’s two amazing daughters (Nola and Olive)— for making two of our residents’ dreams come true last weekend by bringing them to see the Mamma Mia! high school play at Marblehead High School. 💙

These dedicated staff members came in on their day off to make this special outing possible after our residents had been talking about attending the play for nearly a year. Their love for Mamma Mia! and ABBA holds a special place in their hearts, as it was something they shared with their dear friend Stephy, who sadly passed away this past year.

Being able to get out, enjoy the music, relive cherished memories, and watch the wonderful performance by the talented students at Marblehead High School was truly meaningful. The students did a fantastic job, and the smiles on our residents’ faces said it all. 🎶✨💃

Thank you for going above and beyond to create moments that matter. 💛

🎉🎂 Celebrating 101 Incredible Years! 🎂🎉

This week at the Lafayette Rehab, we had the absolute honor of celebrating a very special milestone—Mikhail’s 101st birthday! 🎈

Mikhail has brought so much warmth and charm to our facility. He can often be found enjoying sweet treats, taking naps, or cherishing time spent visiting with his family— a few things that make life just a little extra special! 💖🍰

Even at 101 years young, Mikhail continues to inspire us all—he still walks and exercises daily, showing us the true meaning of strength, dedication, and healthy living! 💪

To celebrate this amazing occasion, we threw a big birthday party with all of his friends and neighbors on the first floor. It was a joyful gathering filled with laughter, smiles, and, of course, plenty of sweets to go around! 🎉

Reaching 101 years is truly extraordinary, and Mikhail continues to inspire us all with his spirit and determination. We are so grateful to celebrate alongside him.

🐰The Easter Bunny came early at Lafayette Rehab! 🐰

Our rehab residents had a blast participating in an exciting Easter egg hunt throughout the therapy gym—searching high and low to find every last egg! 🥚💪

After all their hard work, everyone enjoyed some well-earned sweet treats and lots of smiles. 🍬😊 It was a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday while staying active and engaged. 🐣
